Here is a diorama featuring two of my all-time favorite pokémon in a DS-Retro style.
The premise of this revolves around a what-if the Gen IV games had been stylized in 3D. It's kind of a modern take on a low-poly style. The whole scene is somewhere around 2500 tris, but only about half of those tris are being rendered by the camera. I'd like to do a full video on it the concept at some point explaining how these alternate takes on the games could have played out had GF been given the resources to pull it off. I guess that this environment would be what a Route 216/217 Snowpoint Area would look like in these parallel games.
I have a YouTube channel dedicated to this kind of stuff if you're curious, which I'll link in the comment sectioin. I hope to do a lot more of these with both my current and up coming models.
Here is a link to the music as well (not by me) if you're wondering about it: https://youtu.be/vkVggnOe9Us?
Thats awesome I feel like it looks like if Pokémon had come to the Playstation or PS2
My gist aims for high-end DS games that would push the hardware to its limits, but it's also a modern take on those graphics, so yeah. A lot of people would also say PSP. Thank you for the comment!
It looks like Monster Rancher
I knew i felt something looked familiar. The graphics look similar to spyro games graphics
1 air slash and Heracross is done. 1 stone edge and Charizard is done.
Heracross is cooked
Unless choice scarf stone edge
it missed
💀
This has better animation than what Game Freak does nowadays...
how tall is Charizard again ?
5 foot 7, next to Heracross who's 5 feet which I think includes the horn. I tried to make it accurate, but I feel like I should have exaggerated on Charizard's size a little more.
Save yourself, Bois! 🤧
Been saying since PLA and SV. Trees are so fucking important. And they dropped the ball on those.
