If they kept the character the exact same but change the setting to regular society... I feel like his psychotic virtue would actually make for a really compelling narrative
I'm old and essentially an immovable person where "sexy" is concerned, but that is one smoldering look on his face, and okay, I'll buy the poster when it comes out and hang it where the mixed feelings artwork goes.

I was also confused by this. The hive must know that he didn't leave (what happened to the ambulance) and maybe even saw him get in the trunk from a drone.
While he claims to absolutely hate the post hive world I can tell that he loves how he's able to truly express his nasty side freely. Like he was quiet and socially awkward but now he gets to be Bruce Willis and stand up to his mom.

They were still incapacitated. Carol forced him into a trunk while they got better.
I think Carol forced him in there so he couldn’t try anything while she dealt with Zosia
