How does someone go to prison and get better looking? This really doesn’t feel like real life the way it has worked out. Especially when he is loved by everyone in prison and the public but then the president and government is going for the death penalty.
Wild how we don’t hear much about the guy who tried to kill Trump. He’s not a household name. I can’t recall his first or his last name… and he tried to murder Trump. Others hear it like they do Luigi?
Edit: /s, for all you pedantic fucks. I know prison health care is even worse than regular health care. I work in health care, we serve prisoners from the state and county. The whole system is fucked.
Try the new healthcare plan - you pay for your healthcare with the money that you get from not paying for the out of reach costs of healthcare insurance. Now you can stop giving all your money to those greedy Insurance companies. YAY they fixed it. 😑
You think the cost of everyday items is too high? We'll triple your costs with 150% tariffs then. But don't worry we're going to give you a cut of the tariffs, maybe. Best economy ever!
"Greatest economy in the history of our country, its so great, unlike Joe Biden, he was so incompetent. Worst president in the history of our country." And so on and so forth. I am so tired of all this shit, lol
Ironically the rich would probably get even richer, like the experiments of giving money to poor people and it all ending up back in the economy because they need to buy essentials and not just hoard it like a dragon like the rich do. But then their boot would be slightly less on our neck and we would be slightly more free and they’d rather keep that situation than have more money.
yeah more like ensure my obligation to pay hundreds per month in premiums for a barebones plan with an almost 5-figure deductible that even if i meet i will likely get claims denied anyway. very good very unbroken system
Especially considering the reaction he got. He’s basically a hero. He’s gorgeous. Women are throwing themselves at him. (And men) and while he’s on trial he looks happier than most Americans.
There were a couple of CEO slayings / attempted slayings afterwards but the stories were buried or played down as a personal attack. I think after the initial reaction went sideways they decided to avoid the appearance of a tide.
I think after the initial reaction went sideways they decided to avoid the appearance of a tide.
And imagine, they were so successful. But they choose not to go this with school shootings. The greed in this country is killing it and has always been diametrically opposed to the enlightenment underpinnings of it's founding.
Absolutely. I remember anyone they had talking about it on the news went extra hard about it being "a heartless tragedy that could be done by a monster" only to just stop coverage when they saw that wasn't how the public viewed it. Doesn't help that when the CEO's personal life, which they tried to use to humanize him, only doubled down on the piece of garbage he was.
I’m not sure why people have this misconception of prison as this magical place for free healthcare, meals and housing when everything have told us the contrary.. the propaganda isn’t that good to believe the madness
I work in healthcare; you do NOT want Prison healthcare. Even if you get sick enough to come to the hospital, the “secure” wings for incarcerated prisoners often have no beds and you go to an open bathroom with a toilet visible to half the wing. It’s a miserable experience.
maybe they're watching documentaries about prisons in northern europe and getting things mixed up with the hellscape that is the US prison system.
Like, not to throw shade but you guys literally have a clause in your constitution so you can use prisoners as slave labour, it's not a system I'd love to be in.
Also his lawyer almost certainly told him to smile and look easy going. Looks and body language play a big part in how a trial goes. If he looked angry/sad and fearful it would influence people to think he's guilty.
You can't just call dibs on BOTH eyebrows!!! You can, AT MOST, get to have one eyebrow at a time and you'll have to re-que to ride the other if you still want to. Other people want to ride the eyebrows as well, think of the people.
Not enough people are talking about his coconuts. His chest is so big it looks like they are going to be sending buttons flying around the courtroom soon
I worked as a correctional officer when I was in college, working nights while I went to school during the day.
There was one inmate who was always giving stuff out. He guy was absolutely untouchable, people would go to solitary by claiming his contraband as their own, they'd let him sit on one of the two only phones for 8 hours a day without complaint, let him watch whatever he wanted on tv, you name it.
He didn't do anything crazy or illegal, all he did was buy people Snickers and soups and pops without expectation of anything, and in return he was the king. Actually pretty nice guy.
All this does is make me feel bad if the conditions are that poor. I know its generally a case by case from the facilities, but if a dude is living like a relative king for buying ramen for people the bar has to be pretty low.
A big part of it is that prison commissaries massively overcharge for everything. Ramen at the most expensive convenience store in your area is probably cheaper than ramen at your local prison's commissary. At the same time prison wages are usually between 15 cents and 2 dollars an hour. There also aren't always enough jobs at prisons to go around.
It genuinely might take four or five hours of work to get enough for one single serving of ramen and most people in prison don't have a lot of money to begin with. A lot of basic sanitary items also have to be bought at the commissary (this is especially true for women) and so there just isn't much left over for things like ramen. Either bringing up prison wages or lowering prices at the commissary would go a long way.
Sending a friend commissary package as we speak..Inflation and greed made the prices skyrocket. It previously was as if you were buying everything priced like a 7-11.
Chips ahoy standard size is $12.60
Cheeto mac n cheese $7.50
Most ready to eat packaged meats like taco meat or brisket are ~$10
4oz of cereal is $4.86
Ready to eat rice/vegetarian ~$7.
Famous Amos are $1.86, Nutrigrain bar per item $.99
Standard size irish spring is $20
It's insane. Ramen has no price because it's been on backorder forever, only the inmate vendor can get it directly.
We "privatized" most of the system, even in the non-privatized prisons. That's the label on it. The reality is that we legalized corruption and indentured servitude.
Are there rules against free bleeding to prove my point? Never been to prison or jail, I don’t know a lot about it, but I assume you get one or two pairs of clothes and that’s it… so I’d be shooting myself in the foot… but why wouldn’t they supply pads in the very least?
Because they literally don't give a shit about you, and often times actively want you to suffer more at their hands. The guards are not there because they want to help out a bunch of convicts, they are there for quite the opposite. They don't get paid enough for any other type of person to end up taking the job.
I tried living on the food for a week on a bet with the guys I was watching in my block once, and after two days I absolutely would have. They let me out of the bet after three days 🤣. Which, also, is a whole conversation about prison conditions.
When I was locked up I'd walk up to every Corrections Officer and walk up to them and asked if they'd let their dog eat that. They'd laugh but to answer that question, no, you wouldn't let your dog eat that. I lost 45 lbs in lock up and my blood pressure shot dangerously high. People told me I was strong for surviving.... but you don't really have a choice there.
I got by that way! I gave out phone time- I didn’t advertise, I saw who ran the POD and heard them talk about minutes, not having enough- she was gonna be in for a min. So I offered her my leftover minutes- asked her not to tell anyone so those J cats won’t be bugging me- smooth fucking sailing after- no fighting for food etc
It’s actually kind of funny to think that you can be the 1% in a prison, and the population will love you because you do/give stuff that directly helps them.
Ya his crime makes him a freaking legend in prison, to the inmates, the guards, everyone likes this guy. He even likes himself, how many of us can say that? Bro is living his best life.
Because Eric Adams and Jessica Tisch the Bisch want to project power and protect the ruling class, especially after they were embarrassed when Luigi evaded arrest in NY.
The Tisch name blankets Manhattan— a cancer institute, a hospital, a gallery at the Met, a theatre, the NYU school of the arts, studios at Lincoln Center… literally the entire children’s zoo in central park.
You don’t get that kind of coverage without big generational pockets.
To be fair, most bailiffs I’ve seen look like that even when they’re not going to be on social media. Standing around in court all day and occasionally handing up papers isn’t particularly exciting work
I mean this is definitely a punishment duty, no way any cop wants to be stuck standing still stand all day in a courtroom. That’s a job you give someone who fucked something up to teach them a lesson
Your lawyer basically makes sure you look your best before your Court hearing. It is an extremely common strategy to get sympathy from the jury, the judge and onlookers.
I heard there's a place where only blind people can be massage therapist because it makes customers comfortable and guarantees blind people a job. Idk how true that is. But, point is:
Guaranteed jobs for the blind, better justice for everyone else.
What's terrible is that they had to fight just get him civilian clothes. The deck has been purposely stacked against his defense by the prosecution, the state and the DOJ. They have tried everything to dehumanize him to no avail.
Your lawyer isn't going to let you come to court looking like a prisoner. Especially for a murder trial. They're going to do everything they can to make sure you've got a clean haircut, your clothes fit well, any tattoos are covered. They want the clean cut look to bias your perception of them out the gate.
To play devils advocate, he has dozens of professional photographers trying to capture the new best viral picture of him every single time he steps outside lol
Doesn't seem weird that we know so much about this guy who is accused of killing a CEO from a terrible company/industry and see so much media of him, but the guy who killed a high profile political activist ON VIDEO and a guy who tried to assassinate THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES ON VIDEO get almost zero attention? I'd bet 90%+ of Americans don't know the names of those guys or what they look like.
EDIT: correction--the guy who was running for President and became President. He wasn't President when the assassination attempt happened.
Well you see, the government didn't have incentive to drag those other people into the public spotlight and discredit them. Do you not remember Luigi's perp walk? The elite 100% thought that they could control the narrative and get us all boohooing for some CEO that made his money off of the suffering and deaths of thousands.
That they even thought that was possible should tell us just how out of touch the rich are with normal people. You are hard pressed to find a single American that hasn't been severely impacted by the greed of people like the CEO Luigi turned into plant food. I give the exact same amount of fucks about the CEO and his family that he did mine.
Hell, even with Charlie Kirk they took a guy who said school shootings were the price we had to pay for freedom and tried to crucify anybody who mentioned it. All so they could try to position him as the next MLK (which would be funny if it weren't so sad)
Photographers trying to take a pic of his drunken stupor would only end up with frame perfect shots of him having half closed eyes and biting his lips.
Yeah, I don’t know who they think they were convincing- this is anecdotal, but I don’t know a single person who felt any of that was necessary. Over the top showboating. They were putting on a show.
Anecdotally, my hardcore MAGA conservative grandma said she gets it and doesn’t blame him. Too many people have been burned by insurance to keep this within party lines.
Everyone across the political spectrum has been (or personally knows someone who has been) fucked over by the healthcare scam system. It’s the great unifier.
On average 125 people per day are shot in the US. Tell me why I should care more about this case than any of the others? But for some reason we are supposed to care more about some shady rich dude who makes his money denying healthcare to poor people.
Same happy face he had last December, on the 4th when he was visiting my house and stayed the whole day. We played Mario kart and kept winning so that's why ve was so happy.
If I didn’t know any better, I’d think these were stills from a new NCIS-like procedural.
Literally, or an NBC courtroom sitcom first two episodes on peacock today, lol
This is quite literally the plot to an original Law & Order episode. Season 10 or 11 -- about 20 years ago.
Edit: Se12Ep12 -- Undercovered. 2002
Same date as today. Hmmmmmm
How does someone go to prison and get better looking? This really doesn’t feel like real life the way it has worked out. Especially when he is loved by everyone in prison and the public but then the president and government is going for the death penalty.
I've actually been sending him La Roche-Posey moisturizer while in there. I'll take credit on the face.
That shiz is the bomb
Wild how we don’t hear much about the guy who tried to kill Trump. He’s not a household name. I can’t recall his first or his last name… and he tried to murder Trump. Others hear it like they do Luigi?
Good Wife Returns
Theres 3 different shows set in that universe now, and one of them is still going!
16 seasons in total!
(Good Wife, Good Fight, Elsbeth)
A Good Wife Returns episode with Julianna and Luigi would be…. Oh boy
he looks happier than me
Well, he does have pretty decent healthcare now.
Edit: /s, for all you pedantic fucks. I know prison health care is even worse than regular health care. I work in health care, we serve prisoners from the state and county. The whole system is fucked.
that reminds me I need to apply by December 15th to ensure coverage on January 1st
"Ensure coverage"
More like “unsure coverage” due to significant increase in health insurance premiums.
Thank god trump got rid of the fine for not having health care… then he replaced it with a “fine” for having health care.
God damn his supporters are fucking morons.
Try the new healthcare plan - you pay for your healthcare with the money that you get from not paying for the out of reach costs of healthcare insurance. Now you can stop giving all your money to those greedy Insurance companies. YAY they fixed it. 😑

Want me to ruin your day? We’re not even a year in yet. It just feels like a decade when you have a government speed running its own destruction.
And thank god the rich get richer. Hate to see what would happen with that money circulating the economy.
Ironically the rich would probably get even richer, like the experiments of giving money to poor people and it all ending up back in the economy because they need to buy essentials and not just hoard it like a dragon like the rich do. It's kind of amazing that there's only been one Luigi incident, given how fucked up it has been and for how long.
Especially considering the reaction he got. He’s basically a hero. He’s gorgeous. Women are throwing themselves at him. (And men) and while he’s on trial he looks happier than most Americans.
I expected a dozen copy cats by now.
There were a couple of CEO slayings / attempted slayings afterwards but the stories were buried or played down as a personal attack. I think after the initial reaction went sideways they decided to avoid the appearance of a tide.

I've worked in a prison before and have done shifts in the infirmary. You do not want medical care there.
My brother, who was in prison for a year, told me how absolutely horrible it was.
Food is worse than public school food.
Utensils may as well be paper. They make them so flimsy so no one can use them as weapons.
The beds are horrible, lights are always on.
You share an open toilet with your bunk mate. He told me how he had to endure the smell of shit every morning.
Yard time was the only thing he looked forward too, to escape the smell of shit.
Everyone is always looking for a fight over nothing.
You're either gonna give up your ass, or bloody the guy demanding it. No in between.
Sounds like a nightmare to me.
You didn't even mention the dementors
maybe they're watching documentaries about prisons in northern europe and getting things mixed up with the hellscape that is the US prison system.
Like, not to throw shade but you guys literally have a clause in your constitution so you can use prisoners as slave labour, it's not a system I'd love to be in.
At our local jail, if you have a cavity they'll just extract the tooth rather than give you a filling
Prison does not have decent healthcare
Yeah whoever believes that, has never had to depend on the Healthcare within the department of corrections. Absolutely horrendous.
Prisons are pits of slavery, rape, and abuse. And people frequently die of neglect and poor medical care. The medical care is not decent.
For what it’s worth, he’s in jail and not in prison.
"Do what you must. I have already won"
"Shoot, coward. You will only kill a man."
Being handsome and loved by almost everyone helps.
Also his lawyer almost certainly told him to smile and look easy going. Looks and body language play a big part in how a trial goes. If he looked angry/sad and fearful it would influence people to think he's guilty.
Have you tried killing someone?
Gonna need you to bring down that excitement down 50% squirrely Dan.
It was a sick ostrich
I'd be that happy too if I had that face.
The face of someone with a clean conscience, having done nothing wrong.
This guy is gonna have such a weird life after this ends.
His life was already pretty unconventional to begin with.
Yeah but now people like me wanna ride his eyebrows
You can't just call dibs on BOTH eyebrows!!! You can, AT MOST, get to have one eyebrow at a time and you'll have to re-que to ride the other if you still want to. Other people want to ride the eyebrows as well, think of the people.

RIP his inbox of every social media, email, snail mail and his phone. Women will be up his ass to marry him.
Even, in the smallest most minuscule chance, he does serve a prison sentence I doubt he’ll have ANY issues on the inside at all.
It'd already been reported that he gets sent in a lot of money from donations and he gives out a lot of commissary to the inmates.
Being generous and Rich pays in the prison
As someone who used to work as a corrections officer also, this is facts.
Inmates will do just about anything for a study supply of raman noodles.
All this does is make me feel bad if the conditions are that poor. I know its generally a case by case from the facilities, but if a dude is living like a relative king for buying ramen for people the bar has to be pretty low.

This is beyond criminal, how's this even legal
We "privatized" most of the system, even in the non-privatized prisons. That's the label on it. The reality is that we legalized corruption and indentured servitude.
Prisoners are legal slaves. Literally when we banned slavery we banned for everyone except prisoners.
Because our politicians are corrupt
Are there rules against free bleeding to prove my point? Never been to prison or jail, I don’t know a lot about it, but I assume you get one or two pairs of clothes and that’s it… so I’d be shooting myself in the foot… but why wouldn’t they supply pads in the very least?

That’s smart!
I read it's because you have a maximum commisary spend and Luigi physically can not spend all the money he's been given from donations, so he shares.
It’s actually kind of funny to think that you can be the 1% in a prison, and the population will love you because you do/give stuff that directly helps them.
There's a lesson in there to the ones on the outside
Ya his crime makes him a freaking legend in prison, to the inmates, the guards, everyone likes this guy. He even likes himself, how many of us can say that? Bro is living his best life.
His “alleged” crime, thank you very much!
"alleged" "crime".
he didn't do it though we were parachuting that day.
You think its a small minuscule chance he serves a prison sentence? lmao
Right? Regardless of how anyone feels, this dude is serving life at a minimum. He’s 100% going to prison, not a chance in hell he walks free.
Rittenhouse just got married. Mangione deserves a better life than him.
I love how the cop on the left seems so fed up with everything

Your lawyer basically makes sure you look your best before your Court hearing. It is an extremely common strategy to get sympathy from the jury, the judge and onlookers.
Contrary to popular belief, justice is not, in fact, blind
There's an idea. Blind Judges, literally.
I heard there's a place where only blind people can be massage therapist because it makes customers comfortable and guarantees blind people a job. Idk how true that is. But, point is:
Guaranteed jobs for the blind, better justice for everyone else.
Judges typically start out as lawyers. Lawyers do a ton of reading. How fast and for how long can blind people read brail?
New weird-dystopia idea: A world where benevolent lawyers commit to a blinding serum to ensure fair judgement, they are lauded as heroes.
Lol
Tbh though, could just blindfold.
Now now, let's not dismiss this blinding lawyers idea too hastily.
Dude, he would look good just waking up and wearing a trash bag
He is naturally good looking, but thinking a well tailored suit, access to good hygiene and a fresh haircut doesn't help, is delusional.
99% of people in Criminal Court doesn't have access to the same resources as Luigi.
What's terrible is that they had to fight just get him civilian clothes. The deck has been purposely stacked against his defense by the prosecution, the state and the DOJ. They have tried everything to dehumanize him to no avail.
Probably finally able to get medical care.

He’s also somewhat a celebrity amongst the prison population from what I’ve heard.
He's probably the most well liked prisoner in the entire system.
Yeah, even bad men have loved ones that got fucked over by the US health insurance system.
I think Luigi has figured out how to remove stress from life

Photographers trying to take a pic of his drunken stupor would only end up with frame perfect shots of him having half closed eyes and biting his lips.
Don’t tempt us with a good time
Mental health issues are real I bet they are using that as his situation. I personally think nyc did him wrong w the perp walk big mistake
Yeah, I don’t know who they think they were convincing- this is anecdotal, but I don’t know a single person who felt any of that was necessary. Over the top showboating. They were putting on a show.
Dude I have hardcore right wing MAGA people in my family and even they were smirking when this dude got brought up. It is that bad.
Anecdotally, my hardcore MAGA conservative grandma said she gets it and doesn’t blame him. Too many people have been burned by insurance to keep this within party lines.
Everyone across the political spectrum has been (or personally knows someone who has been) fucked over by the healthcare

Exactly what I was thinking! Last time I saw her photos she had a bun. Pretty photogenic too
On average 125 people per day are shot in the US.

Billionaires hate this one trick
How do you recognize bots?
The ones slobbing for billionaires that wouldn’t piss on them if they were on fire

The feelgood vibes of these pics are so bizarre.
I think he knows how powerful morale is and how he’s seen by millions of people.
He's so happy in these photos, not guilty.
He knows he's not guilty. Even if he did it. Which he didn't.
If the hospital bill doesn't fit you must acquit.
Its my favorite lady cop! She's in all of his photos.
Not everything is a movie poster for a romantic comedy.
Goddamit Mangione: this is supposed to be a gritty drama
Where these taken as it was becoming apparent the chain of custody of the evidence was completely botched by some Keystone Cops?
