Hello, coming up from Oz in June.
My partner wants to go to Siargao, I want to go to Catanduanes for our Philippines holiday, but planning to make this happen without multiple flights or a overnight stop over in Manila is proving to be quite a challenge.
Is there an easier way to travel between the two?
I know we're going to have to stay overnight in Manila before we fly up to Cauayan Airport (a family reunion up north) which adds more complexity to the already difficult route. So i feel like i might have to sacrifice Catanduanes and choose somewhere a bit easier like El Nido.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

  • No way to make it easier. Siargao to El Nido also requires a layover in Cebu or Manila.

Catanduanes is a small island and is very far away from major cities.

Best to reserve it for another trip to the Philippines where you focus on the area. Bicol, Catanduanes, Donsol for ethical whale shark watching.
