Didn't really understand how you were supposed to make friends, kind of just followed people I found interesting silently until we became besties. Luckily, everyone I did it to were all just as autistic as I am. But I've also had it come from people I don't like. I had a guy move in with his grandma so he could be near me. A little different, as he thought I would date him, but definitely put into perspective just how scary I could have come across to the wrong person.
If she was a lonely girl, I wouldn't have thought much of it. But she had weeby friends, who would confront me in classes that me and said weeb girl weren't in but me and her friends shared about how I was some kind of bad guy in the situation for not appreciating her feelings towards me.
I could write an entire essay about the nature of men wanting weird girls but I'm lazy.
I will just say that when men say they want "weird girls" what they actually mean is that they want a girl that has mildly unusual traits and interests that are attractive to them either emotionally or sexually.
actual weird girls are not actually desirable for men. they have traits and interests that are genuinely weird and would not be sexualized or romanticized by most men. they also usually struggle with lots of mental and physical issues. most men wouldn't be able to deal with nor want to deal with those issues because those aren't a part of their idealized weird girl fantasy.
It means that when people say "weird" they usually mean the image they've made up in their head of "weird" as an endearing trait. When in actuality someone truly weird would just be uncomfortable and stressing to be around
