Abdominal area does not appear to be flat like it should/ would be if it had been done. Cannot say with full certainty though.
My response was primarily to the person suggesting the "hunter" was getting what they needed to butcher. A hunter should have what they need to dress it at the time the take its life.
Definitely dressed, the abdomen would be convex if it wasn’t. The heavy blood staining on the tail is a very strong sign of dressing as well… don’t want to go into gory details but it’s definitely field dressed.
1) I do not see any blood staining anywhere and certainly not on the tail, it is slightly matted, but not abnormally discolored and not red.
2) We dont know how fresh the kill is, but we can presume it is less than a day. There is no way that enough fermentation would have occurred to cause bloating.
I doubt you've held an instrument of death, knives included.
You have shown you have no actual knowledge let alone experience on this topic. Playing Duck hunt on a console in your mom's basement doesnt count as "having hunted."
It is deer hunting weekend in Wisconsin, and the outdoor temp in many parts of the state is not very different from the inside of your fridge.
This picture is hardly unusual. You might see a thousand cars parked outside of Lambeau tomorrow that look a lot like this, or have a dead deer in the bed of the pickup.
Hunter education class? That isn't a thing.
Also, it's perfectly normal and commendable to strap your kill to your ride and drive it home like that. The hunter is justified in being proud of their success!
There is 100% hunter safety courses. Worked with Texas Game Wardens and they offer the class, been around for decades. Great for kids to learn early and adults can benefit from it to
Hunter ed is very much a thing, but they don’t say much about being ashamed of/hiding responsibly harvested game. In fact in many states it has to remain visible, it’s illegal to hide (anti-poaching regs).
Leaving a paper/plastic tag on the outside of the deer while driving would be a sure fire way to let it flap and rip right off. Litering and losing the document. You tuck it inside the cavity or use an e tag.
Many states…. Bust most importantly, Kentucky, which is the only state that matters here. Honestly, the rules about physical tags have changed a lot in the last 5 years. I’d recommend checking them because a lot of what you’re saying isn’t correct. The ear attachment is traditional, but you rarely see it anymore because the tag can rip off too easily. The new tagging methods still fulfill the purpose you stated, which is one tag= 1 kill. Neither Wisconsin or Montana require attaching the tag to the ear. Kentucky doesn’t even require a physical tag unless you’re transferring possession.
Wisconsin hunters are no longer required to attach a physical carcass tag to harvested deer. However, hunters must still have a valid license and harvest authorization, which can be a digital or paper copy, and all deer must be registered electronically through the GameReg system by 5 p.m. the day after harvest.
Not really. first of all you only need to worry about the exterior glands on a buck, and even those you just make sure not to get the oils on the meat. A doe like this wouldn’t have the strong oils. There is another gland inside the hind quarter but you just make sure not to slice it when butchering.
Maybe I’m country but I wouldn’t question the deer. It being attached to a mike wazowski green spark is hilarious though
They got a deer while hunting and rigged it to their car. Not all hunters have big trucks.
Not sure what the problem is.
This is Reddit, where all your meat comes from a grocery store and nowhere else.
Clearly!
My only suggestion would be to wrap it in a tarp so it’s not getting blasted with exhaust the entire way home
Some people like their meat smoked.
That's extra flavor....
I'm not a hunter, but I seem to remember that it was very important to get the meat as cold as possible, as quickly as possible.
Yes. Maybe the person is inside getting some gear they need for butchering.

How do you know it wasn’t? From this angle it isn’t easy to tell

Blood staining between the legs and on underside of tail is visible. Very likely dressed already.

Nice try, but there are no signs.

The guts are removed from this deer. If you can’t tell that, I doubt you’ve ever field dressed a deer.

Best of luck.

This is Kentucky but your point stands
Seriously. That's a pretty decent setup.
In hunter education they teach you to cover your kills up because people don’t need to see it. Not that hard to do.

Hunter ed is required for ALL KY hunters who were born after 1975

I grew up in northern MN hunting deer every fall. I've never heard of any "hunting classes". There's a "gun safety" course for minors, that's it.
Things change. There is a requirement now.
MT and WI both require a Hunter Education course that covers gun safety as well as rules and regulations for hunting. Good to know about MN
No it’s not though

Tags went away over 10 years ago. You use an app now and self register.
Not sure where you are, but physically tagging the game is still a thing/ requirement in most states and for multiple reasons.

The car in this photo shows a Kentucky plate. Assuming this deer was taken in Kentucky:
https://fw.ky.gov/Hunt/Pages/Recording%2c-Checking%2c-Tagging-and-Transporting.aspx
It seems they require a physical tag and then validation through a phone system.
I'm also a fan of exhaust flavoured steak
I thought the same thing at first but then noticed the spark emblem. This is an electric car.
If it was up north I'd be worried about road salt/ice melt all over
Spark is a gas. You're thinking of the volt.
Ah my mistake. Turns out there is an ev spark and a 1.4L spark. This appears to be the gas version. Learn something new every day
Did the same thing before I got a truck! Do what works.
And?
Because some people don’t want a stupidly huge truck engine on a very basic chassis, even if they like hunting.
Trucks are too expensive. Gotta make do with what you can afford. Don’t let your car ruin your hobbies.
We transport this same way because we have a wrangler. It's a pretty common sight this time of year in PA
Same in Wisconsin.
Safer First! Seatbelt check!
I thought deer have glands in their legs that need to be cut off immediately or it can taint the taste of the meat?

Thank you for all this information! I love learning new things about stuff that's foreign to me.
RFKJ?
No tire marks across the body.
Nah, he'd keep his on the roof for maximum sunlight (it helps evaporate away the 'autism toxins' in the deer or something).
That looks like a Kentucky thing to do too 😂
Respect.
Its probably a road kill harvest gonna be turned into mince.
I have that color car too! What in the demonic hell is this lol
YOINK
If the deer did not say the safety word, mind your own business.
Just curious, is the front end dinged up? Just saying, it might be a target of opportunity.
Fort Knox.
Just a hunter, yea it looks funny on the car but literally just a hunter
Well prancer has been canceled for Christmas
Mike wazoksi
Eww, such an ugly color
Give me the boy!
Of course it's Kentucky
