It's getting worse

This guy is just practicing his drag routine on his poor subordinates.

  • 56 points OldManGeezer69

    I’d quit on the spot

    parent
    1 points LostGirl1976

Yeah. I watched it out of curiosity. The music/dancing(?) started and I moved out immediately.

I’m glad Walmart supports the mentally ill, but this is cringeworthy

    parent
  • 31 points midwest-distrest

At the risk of losing my anonymity, I still feel compelled to say how much I hate that this dude looks like me.

    parent
    24 points 1aysays1

It's a pretty common look in people who have lost everything.

This guy learned all his business management techniques from The Office.

    parent
    1 points LostGirl1976

    Dwight?

    parent root
  • 43 points Princessferfs

So he did this again? What a bizarre dude. I feel bad for the employees who have to watch this.

    parent
    46 points NIPPLE_MOUNTAIN

At this point it was never about hyping a Walmart shift. This was about having a captive audience to your "performative arts". Control kink.

    parent root
    2 points D-life

    Control kink

    Brilliant! ☺

    parent root
    14 points mysickfix

Walmart used to have the “Walmart cheer” ever every start of shift when I worked there 25 years ago.

It was some stupid chant where you clapped and spelled Walmart. It was creepy at.

    parent root
    6 points HeadyBunkShwag

They still do, well at least they did before Covid stopped my stoned 3am shopping.

    parent root
    3 points LostGirl1976

Ah yes. I miss o-dark-thirty shopping. The peace of having the store almost entirely to yourself. The joy of having cashiers who know you by name (yes, they used to have actual cashiers after 8 p.m.), the ability to park without having to circle the lot 15 times and then fight someone for a parking spot and then pray they don't key your car while you're inside shopping. Those were the days.

    parent root
    4 points fc1088

I too have seen this in person. Was really annoying when I was trying to find someone to tell me where the napkins were. Once I figured out what was going on I quietly backed away like I stumbled upon a klan cross burning.

    parent root
    2 points LostGirl1976

Nope. But if you'd stick around another 10 minutes, you might have seen them bring out the black candles and sacrifice a Target employee.

    parent root
  • 9 points sunshinekraken

I hate that he’s going to get famous for this level of cringe

    parent
  • 6 points q_ali_seattle

He's got a lot of career ahead of him, when Walmart fires him.

Inspirational coach for high school kids. Like those former gang members.

    parent
    8 points TheIadyAmalthea

He gonna tell them they’re gonna end up living in a VAN DOWN BY THE RIVER!!!

    parent root
    4 points q_ali_seattle

Nah...that's too far. They will be camping in the parking lot.

    parent root
  • 6 points andrealambrusco

Fentanyl at work is not a bad idea after all

    parent
  • 6 points mookizee

I'm afraid if i was actually subjected to this. it might trigger a spontaneous urge to kill myself.

Its debatable if this boosts motivation or sucks the joy of existence from you like a empty juice box.

    parent
    1 points TheIadyAmalthea

I have a retail job. I would walk right on out. I hear they’re hiring across the street…

    parent root
    1 points morkler

This does not boost motivation. Except for maybe 1% of the employees.

    parent root
  • 4 points Patriquito

Maybe he should learn another song?

    parent

i'm pretty sure this is also him- so he's done at least one more https://x.com/Mappy6984/status/1987146026520625407

    parent
  • 6 points Hrrrrnnngggg

I have the displeasure of being in many many walmarts for my work. I'm happy to say that the average Walmart store manager is just a regular asshole that doesn't resort to this kind of gross pageantry. Dude thinks all his workers are happy to be there while he's the only one rolling out of there with a 200k paycheck. If that's a coach, then the store manager should be nipping that nonsense in the bud right now.

    parent
  • 3 points _mbals

At least they’re on the clock???

    parent
  • 3 points Lvanwinkle18

Damn. He looks so pleased with himself at the end. Sad.

    parent
    1 points LostGirl1976

You made it to the end? You may have masochistic tendencies.

    parent root
    1 points Lvanwinkle18

Would love to take credit my unending patience. Nope. Fast forward.

    parent root
    1 points LostGirl1976

Ahhh...ok. I unmuted it to see what he was doing, regretted it, and just left the whole thing. This may be the most cringeworthy thing I've seen in at least a week.

    parent root
  • 3 points InevitableLibrarian

That's why I would literally walk away from everyone the second this shit started. Just hid at the outer limits so I could get away easier. Or just walked out in front of him telling him "Have important things to do, gotta do them" then wonder off to do something else.

    parent
  • 3 points 1aysays1

"You guys actually clapped" says a lot.

    parent
  • 3 points Magicaparanoia

Does this guy know karaoke bars are a thing? We all sing and dance badly for fun, but there’s a time and a place and a bar with an open mic is the kind of place where what he’s doing is expected and encouraged.

I worked at Walmart for 8 that’s back in the 90s and thank god I don’t remember anyone being THAT cringy!

We did have a mariachi band come play for our store manager’s birthday. But that was awesome.

The employees look like they want to kill themselves ... I have done a few stints at a few different Walmarts during bad times and the management is so out of touch ... This shit just makes everyone way more miserable then they already are knowing where they work and how little they are being paid
