• Good luck to her!

Sarah Gigante was definitely one of the best sources of hype in 2025. It was great how her whole team was saying "y'all have no idea what's coming for you" when the TDFFaZ mountain stages were coming up, and Gigante really delivered.

  • I spent months training very hard on Zwift with early-season racing in mind, but as my recovery progressed, It became clear that the team thought it was smarter to give my body more time before returning to competition.

I'm really glad that she's being properly supported in her recovery & isn't being rushed. Looking forward to seeing her return when she's back to fitness/health!

I saw her yesterday riding in zwift @4Watt/kg

  • Unfortunately they also cured her of unhinged zwift memes on strava. :(

  • One thing I love about Sarah is how upbeat she is despite her injuries and the “haters” who criticize her descending for example. I couldn’t imagine how much stress she must be under. The fact that she appears to be able to deal with this is remarkable.

I mean, I thinks a fantastic athlete and figure to follow in the peloton, but criticizing her descending is hardly being a hater when even her own team found it necessary to put their main domestique on her wheel to coach her down the mountain ...

the “haters” who criticize her descending for example

    incredible

Yeah, like she's a 'bad' descender but that's relative to the rest of the pro peloton, versus a normal person she's almost going to be insanely good, pretty sure you have to be missing some of the fear genes to be as fast as some of them go

This doesn't follow logically. Looking at her Strava times from the Women's tdf, she is considerably slower than times of amateurs on open roads.

  • Good luck Sarah! Glad she's doing gym and physio too. Hope she can compete in all 3 grand tours. I just saw her schedule on PCS and I came to wonder: what are good indication races before the grand tours for women?

How does it feel to be back training consistently after the past few months of rehabilitation?

'It’s nice to be outside for sure, but I feel like I was training hard during the past few months of rehabilitation already. I would even say that it was more intense and more consistent than my normal training, because firstly, there’s no mental or physical slacking when you’re riding solely indoors, and secondly, I was doing a couple of hours of gym and physio five to six days a week on top of my cycling. Normally I only do gym two or three times a week.'
