• That’s nice. Obviously Ventoux is his biggest moment this season, but I’ll always remember him for making the first group of ~25 after the first ascent of Montmartre this year and being the smallest guy there by about 10kg (and the smallest guy other than Pogacar by like 15kg).

I wanted Healy to take that stage but VPP was just relentless going uphill. Helped in no small measure by Van Wilder. Still have no clue where that dude came from to pull him. Immaculate timing.

Same, was screaming like a lunatic for Ben but was also absolutely delighted for VPP & his success. The effort he put in & the epic boost out of nowhere by Van Wilder was fabulous, made even lovelier by how he very classily acknowledged all of that after his win.

Greatest Tour stage of the last couple of years. What an amazing show that was.

Best stage I've seen in the 2020s (including all the Visma Wout stuff)

  • Was he contracted until the end of 2026 before?

  • since this is about him, does anybody know about a rider in the pro peloton with a BMI lower than his?
