It’s extremely rare for them to breed in captivity. So much so that no one really knows what conditions they need for it to happen. It just happens sometimes. lol
Someone popped in to r/loaches yesterday claiming to have bred them, with a couple tips. I think it was under the post "kuhli behaviour" if you want to search for it.
