Are players celebrating any of the Holiday Events in your zone? Other players like to load in dynamic assets that light up, move, change colors, etc. When those assets are loaded in the devs will ease processing by limiting render distance in some less critical areas of the overworld map.
There's an in-game item, [[binoculars]], that will allow you to trade a narrower field of view for increased render distance. However, what you are describing may also be attributable to several other effects, such as the [[myopia]] debuff, or if outdoors, a temporary particle effect known as [[fog]]. If [[fog]] is active, the [[binoculars]] item will have no effect.

Are you talking about the [[fog]] effect?
Oh, oh yeah, it's an "effect", totally not the devs trying to save on graphics resources
It has been used in games to save resources, and the developers were praised for "adding to the atmosphere" of the game.
Settings can't be changed during play. Should've set them before joining a server.

you wank too much
Ain't the render distances fault, the servers are having some problems
If you're on the [India] server like many other players on the forum today, there's probably not much you can do.
Draw distance is quite impressive at 46 billion lightyears and is in fact increasing. Your optical package is at fault, you just need to upgrade it.
