Unfortunately, that's not a bug. It's a debuff caused by [mania] called [sleeplessness].
[mania] itself is also not a buff, but a status effect. It has positive and negative effects on the player and can be very damaging if not managed with the proper items and actions. You should go to a player who spec'd into medicine to get a better idea of what to do.
You need to see a player spec'd in the [psychiatry] class immediately. This is going to be extremely difficult, so you are best off going to the [hospital] so you can get proper treatment and a psychiatrist, because this doesn't end when the [mania] ends, [depression] comes next and it can be difficult to treat.
Unfortunately [mania] is not a buff, it’s mostly a debuff that has a few perks. I recently had another type of debuff disguised as a buff, felt really happy and super focused but it wouldn’t let me complete any of my daily tasks. Contact someone from the Doctor Occupation hopefully they can help remove the debuff
Everyone else has said it as well, but it’s not a buff. I mostly have experience with the [hypomania] status, but have been advised that the positive effects are nice, the downsides of the status are not worth it. The buff aspects feel amazing, but the debuffs make it objectively a bad status.
Highly recommend finding someone with the [doctor] class. And prepare because when the status wears off, it’s likely to obtain the [depression] status, and that one is pretty much all debuffs.
If you wanna do a mania (De-Buff) run like me you gotta manage the negative parts of it and its not easy. I recomend starting with reading skills books like "The Lotus Sutra" (advantage on wisdom checks and saving throws) and "Tao Te Chin" (it directs the energy burn from the mania). Both are required skillbooks but finding someone specked into the Therapist skill tree is also a massive help unless your cash stack can't swing it. I also recomend going to A Rave event but only for happy hard-core, hard-core, or drum and bass. The people there usualy have the mania debuff and the manic depressive debuff and can help give you a community to push you into better things.
Thanks! I actually have a rave event coming up on my local server that some of my guild members are going to. I’ll check out the skills books for sure. I have a psychiatrist but the therapist classed healer was indeed draining my in game currency too fast and I don’t have the insurance status effect.
mania is actually a debuff. look at your bank account, look back at your poor descisions when its over, notice signs of hightened irritibility, look at the steep mood crashes that come along with it.
unfortunately potions which also include negetive effects has been my best response, im on 3 potions for my [bipolar 2] debuff 😔
You’d say game play is improved with potions? My [psychiatrist] class player agrees that I have the [bipolar] status effect but it hasn’t caused MAJOR issues with game play except for the occasional [depression] debuff.
There’s often a post buff debuf the players have started calling burn out where you had one really good 32 hours so the rest of the week will be dog shit.

Dude... mania is not a buff. It can and will have serious drawbacks. Get yourself to a healer.

Try equipping the item [epsom salt bath] or [CBD] it lowers your [glutamate] stat, and find a healer to work with
