I'm an artist. And I would like to draw something in the style of outrun/retrowave, but apart from palm trees, neon sunsets and the like, nothing comes to mind.
Draw stuff that people don't normally associate with the style but was definitely ubiquitous back then like a house and a garage with a barbeque going or something. Or like, some people breakdancing or an Atari hooked up to an old TV with rabbit ear antennas.
Wedge cars. Countach, Testa, Delorean, Pantera, etc
Check out 80s city pop aesthetic by Hiroshi Nagai
The most outrun bird has to be the puffin, and I havent seen much of those.

Point taken.
Arcades / arcade cabinets, 1980s cassette futurism tech
Recreate the opening credits from Drive. It’s probably more cyberpunk than retrowave but it’s a start. The song they chose is badass too
If it were me I’d replace his name with just “Drive. They show it seconds later in the interior of his car and imho that’s was too late
P.S. it’s kind of a let down of a movie but the opening credits are awesome (YouTube it)
