Hello guys, i want to upgrade from my lacking equipment to a more appropriate one. Not an audiophile 1000€ one but a decent one in order to listen to my flacs as best as possible. What are some mid and high tier iems that are warm, bass-rich listening and would offer the best quality for synthwave? I am new at this and i am literally lost with all this competition and brands out there.

  • If you have an iPhone, the obvious choice is the Airpods Pro 3 for starters at the "low" end of things. Most people find them just fine.

    Note: if you're going to be out and about in the world while listening, spending a ton of money on headphones, esp. if they don't have noise cancelling, seems like a bit of a waste. Also, noise cancelling when walking etc. is dangerous.

    This is why I find the Airpods Pro to be a reasonable compromise on all counts.

    I have an android 😅, but i will probably use a dac anyway on it. I hear you about noise cancelling.
