I am a CapCut user, but the app has s just feeling increasingly chaotic to me. But I am not ready to jump into Da Vinci resolve. So I took a look at LightCut yesterday, and put together a quick video after a very short tutorial. I was pleasantly surprised at how intuitive it was to use. Not to mention it’s got great integration with DJI’s LUTs to get to at least Rec. 709 quality. What are people‘s thoughts on LightCut?

Yes. It works fine in Android but I prefer CapCut.
I use CapCut because it has the best , ai auto cut.
I save all the footage, but want just a simple click and go highlight ai cut to share with family
Just know that CapCuts current license agreement grants the company and its affiliates broad, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free rights to use, modify, and sublicense user-uploaded content, including likeness, voice, and biometric data, for commercial purposes like advertising, even after account deletion.
CapCut was the darling of content creators. Then we woke up. The shove (wasn’t a gentle push) to a paid app sealed its fate. Those T&C are on another level.
I recently moved to Davinci Resolve. Everything fine until I realised all my video audio is way too soft. Audio files 100% perfect in Audacity. As soon as placed on DR timeline, they lose 15dB in volume. Annoying. Didn’t realise until after rendering and uploading to YouTube. Assumed soft audio was a quirk during editing.
Thinking LightCut is the next to try. Sigh.
People are idiots. They are feeding China everything that they do, and using "ai" when they should learn to edit. That is how they gather information and data on the world, and some day you find a version of yourself pitching a product you never heard of.
Fun story - I had an agency offer me upwards of $400,000 for access to my entire youtube channel - the channel is almost 2000 pieces of content based in one of the most popular vacation destinations in the USA and the world.
The trade off? I would have to sign an agreement that allowed them to farm ALL the videos, and allow them to SELL THIS to other companies for their AI models.
This meant from their ToS that I could someday hear my voice, or see my image being used in ways I had completely relinquished all rights to.
I said no and passed on the deal.
I use it occasionally and like it for some things. On my tablet I do have DaVinci Resolve also and a few others but lately been really liking Premiere Rush a lot. Check it out!
Not me, I never will and also won't use CapCut.
Their ToS are a NIGHTMARE, and I am not comfortable with Chinese company owned software and my images, face, likeness etc.
Yeah, I also do not use TikTok.
I use it very rarely fir editing reels..it is okay ish..if you have pc then do consider da Vinci resolve..fir mobile it's good and it syncs all your footage from the camera
