Already enjoying my camera, the app and simplicity of all. Is it too naive to imagine shooting videos with Osmo pocket 3 which can be sold on stock markets such as motionarray?

  • The best camera is the one you have with you. I don’t want to carry an a7SIII and a large/heavy gimbal for shooting in mountain motion and other things. It fits in my pocket and lets me shoot easily and quickly. You sacrifice that full frame look and background separation but…ok. Everything in life is a trade off.

    I’m all about portability. I do several types of still/video shooting, some personal, mostly professional. What gear is with me at all times? A Sony RX1R III as I value high quality still above all and my Pocket 3.

    I don’t even want to use my phone on a Osmo 7P gimbal now hahaha, with external storage and everything. too spoiled I know. But my phone storage is limited I like having a camera dedicated for vlogging

  • I am pretty sure any pro will tell you it's not the camera but the operator that creates 😉👀 So yes, the camera can produce for Motionarray. Seeing some of the quality they offer there, like any camera would do, really.

  • In my line of work I use an arsenal of video and still cameras: Canon R6 Mark II, Canon C300/200, Sony FX6, JVC GY-HM850, JVC GY-HC500U, iPhone 15 Pro, DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro, and now the DJI Osmo Pocket 3.

    I try to use the right camera for the job and each camera has its best use. I think the strength of the Osmo Pocket 3 shows when you need smooth, dynamic movement. It is an amazing camera that produces great video. I use it for shooting brief videos my organization will use on social media–mostly for capturing personal angles of people interacting and for capturing supplemental b-roll to compliment what I have from the larger, full-size cameras. It's great in a medical environment, where I need to be compact

    Shooting and selling stock footage requires careful consideration and planning. You may be a bit limited using the OP3, but I think it's likely do-able. You might wish to make a small investment in ND filters and maybe an anamorphic or wide angle lens for it so you can get more shot variety. A macro lens may work well for you, too, depending on the subject matter you are trying to shoot.

    Just keep practicing. The more you use any camera, the more proficient you will become. Enjoy!

  • It's the perfect camera to carry around with you and get amazing cinematic footage when you spot something you want to film there and then. Plus as said earlier, it's the operator not the camera. Study YouTube videos on how to get cinematic videos on the osmo pocket 3, you'll find some great tips.

  • you should watch Andy To’s review on the OP3 i think he covers it pretty well and he also shoots a lot of videos on just iphones in the past

  • For car guys (girls) its a must. Cant get same rollers with other cams in same price range. Also almost EU drifteams use them to make live streams etc.

  • You can shoot in 4K, add ND filters and edit in post, so it's fine.

  • High end quality is possible. But look at Apple and those fancy ad videos for the iPhone. These stunning productions were ”shot on the iPhone” but there was a professional production team and a truckload of fancy lighting and grip gear used to get it done.
