Honestly, it’s taken me less than 30 minutes way more than 30 minutes at OMC regardless of terminal. The line always looks like a nightmare but family lines have made our waits so painless compared to most of the country
This is nothing... The last time I flew without precheck was probably 2022 and the lines were easily 45-60 min. 30 min was average no matter what. This is normal wait times
Literally was there the exact time you posted this. It took maybe 5 minutes to get through security and I didn't have pre check. I was shocked how dead it was
This is kind of a longer than normal wait for the C Terminal, but it's still not that bad, imo. I feel like the wait times are always over-estimated a bit as well--and heck it is nearly MCO's peak travel period of the year.
Personally, I remind myself that a busy airport and subsequent longer lines is an indicator of job security. :)
I don't think any business in Central Florida is more than 3 or 4 degrees of separation away from being influenced by tourism.
People like to shit on MCO and I don’t know why. We’re a crazy high volume airport and my tsa lines look massive but go quicker than other airports. I haven’t done any traveling in the past year since tourism dried up (which im guessing has lead to tsa layoffs) but honestly I think we have it good here.
You want a shit show, go through Charlotte. Somehow it has more throughput than us, but at the same time is the worst designed airport in the world. Philadelphia isn’t far behind.
That isn’t that bad.
It's unusual for C
Dang, C is getting butt fuxked. Flew out of A with TSA Pre and it was a breeze. Maybe 5 minutes.
40 minutes is very long for Terminal C.
Often see people say ah C isn’t busy but it can get busy especially in the afternoon with the International flights.
Yeah 20 minutes isn’t bad for the other main checkpoints.
Just do what my dad does, book for 6AM departure and arrive at 2AM. Problem solved.
I'll say that the folks who do that for like 1 pm flights and arrive at 630am are part of the problem.
The PA was announcing they were only checking people in for flights in the next 4 hours. I guess without a checked bag you could pull this
I have yet to flight in or out of C. Missed it by a week with jet blue all other trips have been A
I don’t think I’ve waited for more than 10 minutes at C. That’s wild,
The weekend before any major holiday TSA is gonna have longer wait times, especially with one of the largest travel holidays of the year.
Yes for a Christmas week, this is probably ok. A random week in February is sometimes worse for no apparent reason
That's pretty normal lol, anything under an hour is fine

For the main checkpoints yes but not Terminal C.
I don't think I've ever waited longer than 5 minutes at terminal C
Exactly. C is always quick not sure what’s going on today.
Is MCO Reserve still available? If it is that's the way to go imo
Yes but hours are limited and it closes at 5pm.
And this is why I have precheck.
Same
That isn’t even a long wait lmao
I was mainly referring to C. The wait in C is almost always under 10 minutes. Yeah that’s a normal wait time for A/B.

It’s normal for the main terminals but not C.

Anyone flying out the weekend before Christmas not expecting it to be shit is just plain stupid.
Precheck is one of the best purchases I've ever made.
Rookie numbers
That ain’t anything bad. Nothing like a 5 am check in and have the line go from A to B and back to A. That’s when it’s bad.
That’s not bad at all. Check them a week from now lol

I’m glad they added the family lines at MCO. Seems to help segregate them away from the main lines.
What app is this where you can see current wait times?
MCO website (flymco.com) it’s on the homepage.
C appears to have calmed a lot since earlier.
Nice. I’ll have to check this next time I fly. Thanks for the info!
Use the reserve.
