Title. I know the female connectors hidden beneath the strap are for connecting the day travel pack, but what about the longer ones I’ve kind of put in the middle? Are they just to connect to other osprey bags?
Also, does anyone know where I can get things to like tie down the straps around the bag? I remember seeing some Ali express links in this sub when I was looking a few weeks ago, but I can’t find them anymore

The buckles you have touching at the top are load lifters and they attach up behind you on the straps/pack. They lift the weight onto the frame. The two receiving buckles on the strap are for a detachable day back. The other buckle that is on a strap at the chest is the sternum strap-attaches on the corresponding strap. Also helps stabilize the backpack load weight
Oh I see where they connect to now. This is my first bag purchase other than the typical Jan sports from high school so there’s a lot of stuff I’m slowly learning about 😅 thanks!
You have a good one with a lot of physical supports. I backpack and all those components are so essential when carrying a heavy load on an internal frame. Happy travels!
Wow I’m glad to hear that! Thank you!
That's a super helpful breakdown! So the top buckles are load lifters, they help shift the bag's weight onto the frame. The ones on the strap are for the detachable day pack, and the chest buckle is the sternum strap.
The female buckles in the shoulder straps are to attach the day pack to the front. It does give a better center of gravity but it’s hot and still clumsy and an extra step to remove on crowded mass transit.

Thanks! Do you know what the male connectors are for? (Near where it says airspace on the bag?)
I have this same bag. The female buckles should buckle in at the top of the shoulders to act as load lifters. The male connectors are for carrying the day pack on the front.

Those are load lifters and attach at the top.
Just looking to gain some more information about my bag, and some info on getting clip fasteners.
Go to YouTube and type the bag name. Then you get a lot of reviews or promos with info on what all the things are used for and sometimes extra tips in the reviews
I agree. Worth watching reviews even for people who own and use the bag for years. Always little tips and things to learn
