Daytime temperatures were around 25 °C, nights dropped to about 10 °C, so layering was essential.
The backpack is visible in the photos . I’m aware it’s not a favorite here, so no need to debate that haha
Packed items:
- Swim trunks
- 3 linen shirts
- 1 merino T-shirts
- Sleep shirt
- 4× underwear (merino and airism)
- Minimal toiletries kit
- Merino cardigan
- Down vest
- 1 pair of shoes
- Nintendo Switch
- Charging cables + power bank
Everything fit comfortably, no laundry except underwear.
What I’d change next time:
Skip the Nintendo Switch, it didn’t get as much use as expected.

I might take the bait for a short trip, but I will not do it for my next trips as there might be some rain on my 2 week trip and the trip after that will be fly to Rarotonga, Cook Islands and fly back from Auckland, New Zealand, so it requires a more sturdy bag. Maybe in 2027 ...
