I may be a little confused here; are you thinking of Monacan? Matoaca is the southernmost part of Chesterfield County, borders Petersburg. It's East of Virginia State University.

Having grown up when my parents’ address was still Richmond, VA but now has been changed to Henrico I think this needs to be more flexible
City line is in Midlo too. It's about a 7-iron away from my front door, but I sure as hell don't get to claim the city!

Matoaca is suburban but you all have a neighborhood called Smoke Tree, that's pretty rad

Shockoe Bottom is one of the Richmond Realest neighborhoods, I think it's fair to call it downtown too especially to people who ain't from around here
