I am not inviting any dms with this btw.
Omg tho. I'm a kinkster and I'm getting so frustrated especially with newer people to the community being completely ignorant to sexual health. You don't need to know everything, but you DO need to know that anyone get stds (ive been told by an asian man only white n black ppl get them). You DO need to know condoms aren't as effective as certain stds that are skin to skin contact based. If someone has a std caused wart of their upper genital area and during fun times it rubs on ur upper areas guess what happens? I mean earlier today I was told by a grown 32 yr old man men can't get or carry hpv. I'm seeing a growing number of kinksters who don't think they need an std test until they get symptoms....this truly and utterly is horrid. Stay safe yall. Educate urself. Use protection. Get tested. Have fun.
This is why I always get std tested with my partner before we become sexually active. Emphasis on with because people can feel accused if you ask them to do it alone, even if I know I’m negative, and it’s best to be safe on both ends!
Tbh if u feel accused when someone who doesn't know you and is asking for it you shouldn't be in the community I'm in. I can get if it's potential real relationship stuff, but if ur in a community based around frequent kinky sex you better not be offend when ppl ask for results. I have mine show me urs
Ahhh oh you’re not talking about committed relationships are you…oops I’ll see myself out

I think it's denial. They can't cope with the very real risk and dangers so they just cope like this...which puts them at greater risk
I feel you, the the shit I heard made me wanna bleach my ears or brain, also it is not a bad thing to ask for tests before doing the deed the first time, both should be safe and if they refuse, there's your cue to RUN!
Oh my god, the number of people who say "only gay men need prep" no, anyone can go onto it, its SO fucking good for harm reduction, I personally believe that everyone thats polyam, open relationships or kink should be on this at least for one week before and one week after a sexual encounter if possible, even just a week after, and the night of would be better than absolutely nothing.
Holy fuck, also the amount of gay trans and cis men ive met "they wont give me prep because im afab/ cis het" is FUCKING BULLSHIT. Both countries ive lived in, they WILL give it to you if you ask for it. UGH.
I used to do sex work. Sometimes, I would literally walk out of some clients because their knowledge was absolutely 0
Edit: spelling.
People on doxyPrep and Prep that don't use condoms seems to be the new trend as well. Like these people can still contract all the things those are there to protect, it just gives your body a fighting chance. They also can still pass along infections to others. Not to mention that those don't protect from HPV, HSV to name a few.
It's wild how many people don't know this stuff. Regular testing is the safest move
The one that always boggles my mind is when I mention HSV (herpes) to others, and how there is no "good" version of it.
The ignorant and miseducated confuse it with HPV or HIV (because it ends in V).
And the real kicker are the ones who proudly claim "I always get tested for everything and I'm fine", but then disappear when you ask them to point out where on their results it shows their status for HSV (they can't, because most doctors don't test for a skin virus that's so common... Insurance doesn't cover testing for it either).
YEP. Like I get this life style has certain risk but for the love of still get tested. I've seen ppl use what u said as an excuse to never get tested bc it doesn't normally test for everything. I myself specifically ask for the test. Cost extra but worth it imo.
I already know my status, so taking the test now is just a waste of money. Besides, who would lie about having herpes?
I commend you for being vigilant and taking care of your sexual health. If more people took it seriously, then maybe they'd get laid more. Oh well.
You have no idea how many dude I've had to turn down bc they can produce a test that's not older than 1 months :/ get tested get laid lmao
I can understand the need for transparency. Having recent STD results no older than a month might be difficult for someone who's dating around. However, it's always best to just have a discussion first. If the vibe and attraction is there, then I'd recommend both parties get tested at the same time.
This is actually or used to be the standard in the community in my area. Get tested once a month or more depending on your activities. N yes. The discussion part is again huge in the bsdm community
Bonnie blue go crazy
Sincere question what is a kinkster? I’ve never heard the term before and would love to know more.
It's slang for someone in the bsdm community.
