I was there! These lil guys would walk around their pen and take pictures of people/things. After that they go into "POOP MODE" where they'd poop out a picture that was also an NFT. Each one has their own filter applied, depending on the person. Beeple is the artist. It drew a HUGE fucking crowd - big ol spectacle.
It's an art fair called Art Basel! It's in Miami and a few other locations! It's pretty cool, there's usually something for everybody and there are a TON of parties/side events that go along with it. It changes EVERYTHING here in Miami for the week it's going on. Give it a lil Google, you won't be disappointed! There were some amazing installations this year
The images generated by each robot capture what they are seeing, as they see it, each in a different style relevant to the person whose face they share.
“They’re constantly taking pictures and reinterpreting the world through the lens of these different characters,” he explained. He showed different examples of the prints, which come in distinctive visual styles.
“This one looks like an Andy Warhol, how he saw the world. The Picasso image reinterprets the world as Picasso saw it,” he said. As for the tech billionaires, he added: “We’re increasingly seeing the world through the lens of how they would like us to see it, because they control these very powerful algorithms. They judge what we see in the world and for many people, it’s their primary source of news. They have unilateral control over how we see the world, in many ways.”
...
And, if you haven’t guessed it by now, the printed artworks are not just prints; they are in fact, NFTs, perhaps fitting for how many times NFTs have been called “bullsh**” on the internet.
...
These sculptures may not live to see the day, as they have a limited metaphorical lifespan. Their primary function, to record pictures and store them on the blockchain, will cease after three years, Winkelmann explained.
I had assumed the bots have cameras and are taking photos of the audience and subsequently shitting them out. Turns out I'm wrong, but I did find that concept pretty cool.
True. The hilarious thing is Hitler and Goebbels set up a 'degenerate art exhibition' to ridicule modern art, and then created an official 'Great German Art Exhibition' full of neoclassical art, but way more Germans went to see the 'degenerate art' than the sanctioned neoclassical art. I found out about it in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkHT5Kra4TM
Simply because you like art from a different era doesn't make this trash. I don't care for jazz music. That doesn't make it or people who create it any less valid.
Look at why the art of the Classical (500bce - 500 ce) and Renaissance eras (14th - 17th century) was the way it was, and why Neoclassical art in the 1700-1800's was trying to bring that back.
Art in the Classical & Renaissance eras was only funded & possible for one reason; wealth. And who had the wealth? Royals and The Church.
Neoclassical was an evolution of these eras; combining styles such as Baroque & Rococo, but with an emphasis on new techniques for rendering paint & light, like what Rembrant is known for in his portraits.
We are in a very different time period where it isn't Royals or The Church commissioning artists to create artwork for the average peasant to visually understand (ie; using common known identifiers like Gold Halo's or Wings to indicate Christ or Angels).
Today, we have oligarchs and billionaires holding all the wealth, and trying to circumvent paying for human creativity & art with automated machine learning and AI.
Bringing up the Neo classical era doesn’t make you seem like you know about art when you don’t even know that the modern art movement ended decades ago. You mean contemporary art.
“No politics in my art, how dare they” screamed every pea-brained fascist that simply didn’t like that the politics prevalent in all art didn’t fit their views this time.
And yes, I do actually qualify this as art. Which it is; it's an intentional experience by the artist, meant to provoke certain thoughts or emotions from the viewer.
What does this make you feel? Why does it make you feel that? And why did the artist choose these faces & this medium? Answer these questions in your own interpretation - this is what art is for.
(Also, I love Beeple's work, he's a fantastic artist. His head is included in these robots; he's the guy with glasses)
From an article... btw they are also taking pictures and then pooping them out as NFTs lol
Beeple’s point, he told us, was about how we see the world now.
“It used to be that we saw the world interpreted through the eyes of artists, but now Mark Zuckerberg and Elon, in particular, control a huge amount of how we see the world,” he explained to Page Six. “We see the world through their eyes because they control these very powerful algorithms that decide what we see. And so we wanted to kind of play with that idea.”
My own take is that it's a really good and unsettling piece. I like that they themselves are just robots, because the billionaires are puppets of their own greed and don't really consciously reveal anything to the world. Just a reflection turned into a for profit NFT.
They always have to do what is needed to increase their profits, because that is what they are. They can't want anything except more money and power or they risk loosing out. That is their programming.
The fact that someone would discredit this as art honestly makes me a bit sad. What else could it be? Doesn’t it at least make you think? If this doesn’t turn some knobs in your head, I kinda think you lack curiosity.
I agree, because I never said that; I just said two separate things; 1. You are beautiful and 2. You are art.
However still, here's my rebuttal; Beauty is defined as: "a combination of qualities, such as shape, color, or form, that pleases the aesthetic senses, especially the sight."
So, beauty can be defined as anything to the beholder, not what "beauty standards" of fashion or design or anyone else besides yourself. You define what beauty is to you.
Beauty can be your grandmother's wrinkled, sun-spot riddled, frail smile. Beauty can be the sun-bleached dead carcass of a raven covered inants. Beauty can be found in the absence of clouds in the blue sky.
A piece of art itself doesn't need to be "beautiful" to instill a sense of "beauty" to the viewer.
Maybe a better definition of art is “something that makes you feel” and it definitely seems like you make you feel a certain way, I would even count something that makes you feel nothing
Sigh. I love when people who don't understand art criticize it, and they have no clue about the artist's history and method either.
The person who made this exhibit, Michael Winkelmann aka Beeple, is indeed an artist and graphic designer and he specializes in work that reflects elements of society and his take on it. His art is highly detailed and incredibly interesting.
Art is a medium to express something. The point of any KIND of art is to make you think by what it expresses. Just because it doesn't look like something painted by van Gogh doesn't mean it's not art.
I get so worn out reading morons who don’t understand art at all commenting on it like “This isn’t real art, renaissance paintings were real art. Modern art is trash”
It’s just fucking exhausting. For gods sake just think outside the box a little. You aren’t the arbiter of what is considered good art or not
"The digital artist Mike Winkelmann, better known as Beeple, is causing a stir at Art Basel Miami Beach with his work Regular Animals (2025). The installation, on show in the new Zero 10 digital art section, features robotic canines fitted with hyper-realistic heads resembling tech moguls such as the Tesla chief executive Elon Musk, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Meta chief executive Mark Zuckerberg.
Other humanoids featured in the installation include Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol and Winkelmann himself. Each robot costs $100,000 (in an edition of two plus one artist’s proof), but the Bezos piece is not for sale. All the works were sold during Wednesday’s VIP preview."
"The free certificates pooped out, which Beeple is handing out at the fair, state that this “artwork has been tested and verified as 100% pure GMO-free, organic dogshit originating from a medium adult dog anus”.
This is not a painting of a bowl of fruit, better put “art” in quotes. Everyone knows actual art is marble sculptures of Greek guys and oil paintings of sunsets. Stuff a kid can understand, that doesn’t alienate anyone.
Yes, art must support my exact worldview and aesthetic sensibilities. Otherwise it is degenerate, not real art. Real art is realistic oil paintings and marble sculptures that convey a frozen part of reality and nothing more.
If “art” makes me reflect on my lived experience and the world around me, it is bad. Looking at real art one should feel nothing but a slight sense of pleasure. Never discomfort OR anything else.
It is art, there's no debate. Art is not just what is pleasantly aesthetic, if a work of art is designed to be repulsive and disturbing and you felt disturbed and repulsed, it's not only art, it's good art.
I've never seen Zuck look so human
[deleted]
Facepoke… with a fist
That’s part of the uncanny magic here, once a face is stitched onto something mechanical, it stops reading as human and starts feeling oddly alien.
That explains the Zuck, then.
It’s wild how close and far it feels at the same time, close enough to recognize, far enough to trigger instant discomfort.
Uncanny valley
The fact that it looks like they're shitting pictures is what makes this more magnificent than what it already is
They're actually shitting NFTs. No I'm serious lol
"POOP"
I was there! These lil guys would walk around their pen and take pictures of people/things. After that they go into "POOP MODE" where they'd poop out a picture that was also an NFT. Each one has their own filter applied, depending on the person. Beeple is the artist. It drew a HUGE fucking crowd - big ol spectacle.
That is incredible. Where was this and how do I attend art exhibits like this cause I LOVE stuff like this so much
It's an art fair called Art Basel! It's in Miami and a few other locations! It's pretty cool, there's usually something for everybody and there are a TON of parties/side events that go along with it. What was on the picture that it pooped?
Below someone said it was NFT's, which I think is hilarious. original
From the link that OP shared in the post.
...
...
I had assumed the bots have cameras and are taking photos of the audience and subsequently shitting them out. Turns out I'm wrong, but I did find that concept pretty cool.
They are, but as NFTs lol
Love this. So weird
Yeah why is "art" in quotes? This is awesome
Degenerate modern art again...look at the wonderful art created in the neo classical era and look at this political slop.
Yeah its very heavy handed but the absurdity of it is what I like
Boy, where have I heard this exact opinion before? Do you know the Reich answer?
They will not-see the point here,
“degenerate art” was straight up what nazis called art they didn’t like lmao
There is a pretty bad fascism going on right now, so that tracks.
Simply because you like art from a different era doesn't make this trash. I don't care for jazz music. That doesn't make it or people who create it any less valid.
The art you love is political too.
“Degenerate” , you’re talking like a Nazi would about art in the 30s and 40s.
Art is often a reflection of society, plus who in this is a politician?
The Billionaires are all political figures now, they are literally driving legislation in this country.
🤓
Word for word what the nazis said down to the exact word “degenerate”
So us all a favour and fuck off.
Look at why the art of the Classical (500bce - 500 ce) and Renaissance eras (14th - 17th century) was the way it was, and why Neoclassical art in the 1700-1800's was trying to bring that back.

Politics? In my art???
hey dude you sound like hitler
Just casually pull out Nazi talking points and hope no one notices...
Bringing up the Neo classical era doesn’t make you seem like you know about art when you don’t even know that the modern art movement ended decades ago. You mean contemporary art.
Also art has always been political.
“No politics in my art, how dare they” screamed every pea-brained fascist that simply didn’t like that the politics prevalent in all art didn’t fit their views this time.
This goes hard, ngl.
I love it.
And yes, I do actually qualify this as art. Which it is; it's an intentional experience by the artist, meant to provoke certain thoughts or emotions from the viewer.

Love it! Thank you for adding that context here for everyone.

They always have to do what is needed to increase their profits, because that is what they are. They can't want anything except more money and power or they risk loosing out. That is their programming.
I don’t think there’s any qualifier for something to be art, other than “having been created”
The fact that someone would discredit this as art honestly makes me a bit sad. What else could it be? Doesn’t it at least make you think? If this doesn’t turn some knobs in your head, I kinda think you lack curiosity.
Its “degenerate art” in their view. “Real art” is only what conforms to their incredibly narrow aesthetic standards.
and that one has to perceive it as such, bears shittin in the woods & all that
Well, animals shit in the wood, which nourishes the plants, which feeds the animals
Circle of life and all that, not always beautiful, but that also makes it beautiful in a weird way?
Hard disagree. I was created, and am most certainly not art.
Wrong. You are beautiful, and you are art. Don't let the world make you think otherwise ❤️
Stupid take : being beautiful has nothing to do with being art.
I agree, because I never said that; I just said two separate things; 1. You are beautiful and 2. You are art.
However still, here's my rebuttal; Beauty is defined as: "a combination of qualities, such as shape, color, or form, that pleases the aesthetic senses, especially the sight."

A piece of art itself doesn't need to be "beautiful" to instill a sense of "beauty" to the viewer.
Ah my bad, in this case it's a totally fine take.
lol, I think we all are though
Is life not art?
Maybe a better definition of art is “something that makes you feel” and it definitely seems like you make you feel a certain way, I would even count something that makes you feel nothing
100% its art, and its beutifull
Absolutely!
Why putting the word art between quotes ?
If I don't understand it, then it must not be real.
It’s like the people who think that if they don’t get the joke, it’s not funny.
Or the folks that have never heard of subtext calling things shallow.
Because art is paintings of horses, obviously
This is my favorite response. I will start using it. Thank you.
OK, George Stubbs, let's get you home
It was actually an artistic choice since it provoked thought and emotion. /s
"It" "was" "actually" "an" "artistic" choice "since" "it" "provoked" "thought" and "emotion". "/s"
You’re talking about it
Just because you dont really enjoy it or get it or understand it doesn't mean it's not art.
Looks like art not “art” 🤷♂️
This is pretty good, and of course it's art.
Sigh. I love when people who don't understand art criticize it, and they have no clue about the artist's history and method either.

Cool! It reminded me instantly of Beeple's art, and I wondered if he had something to do with this.
Lol no need to put art in scare quotes, thats just what it is
Billionaires in a few years when they all upload themselves to robot bodies.
Why is art in quotations? Those are some very well made heads.
Mars Attacks dog
Surprised i had to scroll so far to see this comment, was the first thing that came to my mind.
Right? I was looking for Sarah Jessica Parker in the comments.
This is art not "art". Why did you put it in quotes?

I fucking love this
Oh, they're back. First video I saw of them I nearly passed out from laughing so hard. Good to see them around, still.
My Therapist: Zuckerborg isn't real. He can't hurt you.
This:
Hey OP take those quotes off. This art fuckin rules and deserves it's recognition in the museum
Aren’t these the same heads from Epstein’s obgyn room?
This is art. Art should make a statement. This definitely makes a statement.
why put art in quotation marks, this IS art
I mean, pretty accurate
They should've made elon bald
This is not a painting of a bowl of fruit, better put “art” in quotes. Everyone knows actual art is marble sculptures of Greek guys and oil paintings of sunsets. Stuff a kid can understand, that doesn’t alienate anyone.

idk its so absurd and weird i actually love it :D
how is this not art?
Thought the first lad was Gary Oldman from The Fifth Element
Nope, just the artist Beeple himself!
But Gary Oldman's Zorg character sure would fit the tone for this installation lol.
Seems we're the only two people that know about Beeple.
Trashy rich dogs doing dog things
Why is art in quotations?
I fucking love this
Mars Attacks! anyone?
Oh yeah, I went there straight away.
What the fuck, it makes me wanna run to the point on earth that's as far as possible from there. I hope they can't swim
Nah this is actually rad and freaky like if Meatcanyon were to do his smut irl.
This reminds me of Manjjmutt from yokai watch!
https://yokaiwatch.fandom.com/wiki/Manjimutt
What kind of dog is this
It’s a dog eat dog world and the these are the top dogs eating our souls…
These aren't accurate representations! For instance, Elon Musk isn't giving a Sieg Heil, and Zuckerberg is around other people.
A dog park in uncanny Valley.
Invasion of the body snatchers!
I thought Warframe just had a Corpus themed expansion? /s
Can I pet them?
This is my sign to go to bed
It kinda looks funny lol
Was this posted by one of the old mod of r/art?
Where's Miss "Ethical Billionaire"?
Those are insanely realistic!
Reminds me of Ymir's titan in AOT
I hate this thanks
I absolutely love some probably spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to create this master piece. Those Spot robots aren't super cheap 😂
Wish they used this version of Musk, from before his gender affirming treatments.
This is art, OP.
It is art, there's no debate. Art is not just what is pleasantly aesthetic, if a work of art is designed to be repulsive and disturbing and you felt disturbed and repulsed, it's not only art, it's good art.
That’s oddly hilarious
Beat me to the punch OP. Well done.
Well, art it's supposed to convey a message andor an emotion... Id say it did wall in that regard
This is so awesome
I want to kick all of them... in Minecraft.
The quotation marks in the title 🤨💀
This is good
This isnt sand buckets falling, even just the silicone faces would be considered art no question
i want one
The Zuckerberg one is extremely unsettling, and idk why.
Because he is.
Wtf am i seeing? Weird shit
Dystopian future
I HOPE WE DONT GO FURTHER
Where can I buy one of these sex robots?
This is awesome. Put a dog suit on the bodies and you'll basically have those dog body human head things from the BBC Jekyll and Hyde series
Reminds me of the human farm from Parks and Rec lol
https://youtu.be/GnTjhdswnlg?t=121
Why is there a robot of Aaron Sorkin?
that's beeple, the artist
Thanks I hate it
Now this is the shit I come to r/oddlyterrifying for.
As is the common refrain while scrolling reddit, "yo wtf did I just watch?"
Can we watch them fight eachother to the death? But not the robot ones?
This would make a great Black Mirror episode
Are these the same masks in the dentist room on epstein island
Thanks, I hate it.
What is this shit soundtrack playing bruv
These photos of epsteins island is getting wild.
Why do I wanna burn these cursed looking things so much?
i love this, super strange and just tickles that spot in my brain
What in the Kojima is this?
Reminds me of the movie "Mars Attacks"
Invasion of the Body Snatchers shit up in here
You gotta be crazy, gotta have a real need
I feel sorry for the robits
This goes hard. Love it
Time to put them down!
I don’t know why but I’m cackling at this
I like this one
The fuck am I looking at
While you spend time looking and debating (and even laugh) over this, they in reality are laughing at us while earning lifetime amounts of money
Damn that's creepy, I like the art...
Isn't there any sort of law preventing this shit?
I am delighted by this
OP, no quotes needed. It's fucking art.
This is not oddly terrifying. This is deliberately terrifying.
What are they pooping photos of? And why does this remind me of Mars Attacks
The creator put himself in there.
And just like that...
I've had enough Reddit for today.
Ew.
People are weird
Water is wet
Mocking someone richer than you
If anyone deserves to be mocked, it's them
Burn… them… all…

Hell no
Brother, pass me the flamer--the HEAVY flamer. This ain't art. This is dead space or something.
Fortunately you are not in charge of determining what is and what is not art.
skibidi
""""ART""""
Noooo don’t make fun of my favorite billionaire
Andy worhol and picasso were billionaires?
This is like the first instance you could argue something with AI is actually art
Daddy, can I have $100k to show everyone how much I hate rich people?
Fighting capitalism with daddy's credit card.
