Before Christmas, I had been thinking about 1) playing the game Taboo, and 2) buying my girlfriend one of those little hot tub massage thingies for your feet as a Christmas present (really I would have used it for myself, which is one of the reasons I didn't go through with the purchase).

Then on Christmas day, her sister gave us Taboo and her parents gave her the hot tub massage thingy. I hadn't told anyone about my thoughts beforehand. We've never talked about playing Taboo with her sister, and the foot massage hot tub thing is totally out of the blue. I'm inclined to believe this is more than coincidence, but did I manifest these two Christmas presents or did I just predict them? How can I know?

  • Thats a good question that i cant really answer but you do both of those things.

I would ask what state you were in or what spell you did before hand, what momentum are you currently in, does your reality typically match your thoughts if so you have no doubt and the momentum is strong and you manifested those things.

Seeing the future randomly in your minds vision also happens

  • I don't think it's possible to know. It might even be that there isn't a difference at all.

  • I don't think very they're different because I conciously expect (predict) the things I then manifest. That being said you can predict and make something a reality without the conscious intention to manifest it. Hope this made sense and helps.

  • I wonder sometimes if a lot of what we call "manifestation" is really just tuning into the universe to such an extent that you find yourself more and more "hoping" for things that the universe was going to do anyway. I watch "Waterworld" and "Noah" back to back, and then a week later a neighboring town floods from two straight days of rain. Holy shit, did I manifest a flood by watching those movies?? Or should I take a deep breath and ask myself if it isn't more likely that my subconscious picked up on some hint that there was a flood coming, and that's what put it in my head to pick those two movies - more or less randomly, as far as my conscious mind knew - for my Saturday night's entertainment?

I know that doesn't answer your question at all. But I do think it's a great question to think about.

There's also the theory that time passes in reverse, so we're adjusting to live what we already lived or smth

  • I dont personally believe in either thing, but! Im always open to having my mind changed. What id try doing is expiermenting with manifesting things intentionally. Maybe try strongly thinking like "Oh it would be great if my sister bought me whatever food." See if you manifesting that, can make it occur, bonus points if its more rare of an event to occur. If you cant succeed then id be inclined to say you predicted it. Really im inclined to say pure coincidence, but i think my expiermentation method could absoutley work.

I think its more about intensity of momentum over thought although the two are connected.

More thought of a thing you dont have just brings you more of that complete thought the thing you dont have and it wont manifest.

You need a permission slip so your ego gets out the way like a spell or ritual

  • Ot, Taboo best game

  • I had been thinking about

If you're not casting a spell or performing a ritual, chalk it up to synchronicity or seeing the future. If you've been legitimately practicing for years your thoughts may have power, but the majority of people "manifesting" with happy thoughts in isolation of any real work are just entertaining themselves with happy thoughts.

  • You'd have to experiment with manifesting semi-obacure items/situations a few times to be sure. The reasons you thought Taboo and the foot bath would be nice gifts are likely apparent to family members who know you well, and it's gift giving season, so this is an unlikely manifestation.

  • We've never talked about playing Taboo with her sister

So, you guys don’t play any board/card games? This is the first one? Or what?

I have a friend who loves board games. So, do I. I got them a board game. They said it’s one they wanted! But for some reason, they didn’t assume that I have divined this through some occult powers or means.

  • imo manifesting is not real, the new thought movement has done irreparable harm to the occulture.

That's what I thought. I used to think gods, angels, and magick weren't real either. I've stopped believing in impossibility for the most part, it's nothing but a hindrance
