I thought this project had fully died. "Construction is expected for completion in spring 2028, according to the project webpage." fingers crossed that's true this time.

Finally, this continues to be one of the most dangerous intersections along the trail. I dreaded this intersection even more than Whiele when there was no bridge.
Agreed at least at weihle there was a stop light nearby. With Sterling blvd traffic was always moving
It is the worst spot on w&od. Can I add that if they could make the street level crossings at least consistent in signage it would be awesome. Sometimes cars get stop signs. Sometimes yield signs. Sometimes traffic lights.
I hadn’t realized it had been stalled out like this. Bummed it’ll take a couple of years to complete but this has been sorely needed for years. The bridge over Wiehle highlighted how dodgy the Sterling Boulevard crossing is.
When I lived in Sterling and was regularly running the trail, I had someone brush me with their car at 5AM at 40mph.
Totally dangerous segment of W&OD. Glad this is finally getting done.
That entire lot on the bottom right has been demolished as of a few months ago. It's apparently going to be more data centers. Yay! /s
I wonder if the increased traffic that will happen due to this is what got the overpass approved.
I might have crossed it a few times. It might have been a minute waiting.
