I was very lucky I went to an assembly of God church as a teenager and they were so normal it was refreshing after growing up with the Baptist fire and brimstone, everything sends you to hell type church. They had younger preachers and youth pastors that were a young couple, it was quite progressive for the little town I was living in. So far the assembly of God church is the only one I have ever been to that I didn't feel like I was surrounded by people who are only at church to look good.
