I can’t go on TikTok, or Instagram, or even Pinterest without seeing all these bullshit chronically online jargons!!
First of all I’ll just address the elephant in the room which is all the “Boy Pretty” girls having black hair, full lips, and just ethnic in general.
And while Sabrina is considered “Girl Pretty” according to slide 2, apparently when you take away her makeup, and her clothes, and everything else… she’s not pretty at all.
It’s time to stop bullying others and projecting your ill will towards them because you’re not getting the (male) attention you claim not to care about. Especially when, as humans, we all have our own struggles we’re going through behind the scenes.
I understand that saying “They’re jealous” is just a cope/copout, but when you’re pointing at random girls (who, again, are often always dark haired and full lipped for some reason) and screaming that they’re desperate for (male) attention, they don’t love themselves, are hoes etc, what am i supposed to think?
(Side Note: Is it possible to mute words on Pinterest, TikTok and Insta? I know it’s possible on Twitter, although that function barely works anyhow).
why is boy pretty just ig baddie latinas i’m screaming
i lowk think its racially motivated 😩. when they do the classy vs non-classy, copy and paste latinas are always on the non-classy side
I am convinced the whole classy / clean girl aesthetic side is just a subtle recession indicator...they don't want to spend money on lashes, use up all their make up and restock again and again. Greasy slicked back hair can save them a few £££ on shampoo
All the cosmetic procedures though….I think it’s more about signaling that you have MORE money. You can attain the ideal by surgically altering your face and present as “low maintenance”— air quotes because the og clean girls are defff spending a lot on skincare and hair on a regular basis anyways
oh it is absolutely
Yes so many ethnic beauty standards and styling is labelled as “non classy” by a white woman acting like only her vanilla style is classy. Says who?
It’s such a small indicator but since I was a teen in the 00s I remember reading in magazines “NEVER remove hair above your brows” and like it was so stupid to do that. I’m Indian and that’s like one of the main ways we do our brows and I remember feeling really confused because I clearly had hair above my natural brow shape that needed cleaning up. These days I almost exclusively remove above and from the sides and not below and my brows are the best they’ve ever looked and the kind of shape and style people are now trying to achieve with microblading.
It’s almost like people are different and you’re not an expert in all beauty and fashion just because you know what works for you and your community.
I saw a YouTube video with "How to be classy" tips and everything they showed in the "don't" list were either black or Latina fashion. Nails, lashes, hair styles, clothes, etc. She doubled down when called out. Totally bizzaro
In America, "classy" has always been white-coded. And that's the reason why the term "white trash" exists... the only reason you'd need to specify "white" is if you consider it a deviation from the ordinary (non-white) state of trashiness.
Oh shit, I never thought that the concept of "white trash" could have a white supremacist ring :(
English is my third language so, this is complicated for me tbf.
White trash to me means redneck, and that’s also the only way I’ve ever heard it used. I’m not America though, so maybe that nuance was lost when it started to be used in my country. White trash is a yeehaw trailer trash redneck conservative family that doesn’t believe in vaccines. I can see how it could be used in that context though
Fun fact! Redneck was popularized during labor rights organization among coal miners during the 20’s (though didn’t originate there). I’ve stopped using it derogatorily since—though you’re right that a lot of people still consider it to be derogatory.
Interesting, I didn’t know that. I thought it was redneck because we’d get sunburnt from being outside and farming, but the bandana thing for coal miners is cool. We use it pretty lighthearted over here, but probably because we’ve never heard it used derogatorily against us. I grew up in a “redneck” rural town where we would have dances leaning into the theme, mostly just to make fun of ourselves. Again though, I’m not American so it probably has a different cultural impact. I would never call someone I’m not friends with a redneck nor white trash, but the latter does feel more derogatory.
Impressive that you know a 3rd language. Unrelated, I know, but for real, good on you.
Aw, thank you!! I grew up bilingual so, that definitely did help haha
That's also why the "European" aesthetic only refers to white European fashion. The white only class trope in 2025 is disgusting.
Sounds like white supremacy
I took it as the girls that boys think are pretty kinda just look like slightly different versions of the same girl. I can’t remember when women started to make themselves into brats dolls but it definitely ruined so much uniqueness in society lol. I miss the different faces and normal teeth
I remember when doing a bratz doll look was just a fun makeup trend to try for the novelty of it and now it’s like a permanent trend.
lol. YES! I’ve heard it called the Kardashian effect and somehow that made it worse 😂
That’s how latinas have always done their makeup. It’s not our fault it became a trend and is now “hated on”
There's a Facebook clothing store page that does that. Everything blond hair, blue eyes, and white they call classy and old money
LOOOOL what i thought too
It’s giving a yt girls bf cheated on her with a Latina and instead of getting therapy she started this trend lol
Helllloooo kylie Jenner???? ☎️☎️☎️☎️Interesting that this is exactly what people say that happened to her but instead of hate the fashion she copied and changed race 😂😂😂
It's so infuriating being friends with teen boys these days(to be clear I'm 17 so I'm not just talking to teens for no reason lol), when all they harp on about is how much prettier Latina women are compared to white girls(we live in South Africa so most of the girls at least that I personally know are not white).
The recent trend is the Asian baddie thing or whatever. I skip so many of the tiktoks my friends send me because it's just the fetishisation of women usually from Japan, China and Korea.
In other words, like the other person said, it's probably racially motivated
no literally 😭
I feel like the guy who made that slide just has a specific type lmao
[deleted]
yeah they’re all different people
[deleted]
its not much of a look to replicate. they just all have filled in eyebrows circa 2016 and big lashes. they look like different people, you just couldn’t tell (for some reason)
Because they subconsciously view those girls as more of a pickme aesthetic for some reason
This is about getting women to hate each other and the "blondes vs brunettes" have always been about that.
It’s like 2000s all over again 😔
Technically it's still the 2000’s.
Side note, my teen mixed up the 19th and 20th centuries this week. She was talking about the 90’s. I don't know who was more disturbed, me or my Grandma lol.
I read it an initially thought “boy pretty” meant it’s all cross dressed boys omg
I thought it meant girls who would also look pretty as a boy 😭😭😭😭 then I swiped
Tbf I thought it was Blaire White in the first slide.
I thought it was androgynous women, who I (a girl) also think are pretty
I thought "girl pretty" is about a more feminine style and "boy pretty" is about a more masculine style, regardless of the gender of the person wearing the clothes. Apparently not
Holy shit I just realized they're multiple people 💀
Same lol
Read "Boy pretty" and my first thought was "that’s a really pretty boy"
By “styling and marketing” they most definitely mean make up, and all the “boy pretty” girls are wearing make up.
The thing that’s so ironic though is that men always talk about how they hate make up and fake stuff but then they always simp on the girls wearing the most
Hard to find them online that don’t wear make up at all, in my case I like the girls that I know/have seen look good without make up and them putting on the make up is just their choice I’m not gonna pivot and hate them because of it, they’re still pretty like they would be with or without make up
I think every girl is girl pretty 🤷🏻♀️
[deleted]
I’ve felt like this my whole life. I hate competition.
Preach!
Real. Like… I just love women, guys… dunno why some ppl hate sm 😭
I legitimately think nearly every woman I see is attractive, and my straight male friends/partners are like “wtf.” Like sorry I like women more than you guys do? Skill issue
Maybe they just pretend to be picky, or have evolved to be pickier about looks.
unless she’s a mean person or a traitor
yeah the first one is also girl pretty because i’m a girl and they look pretty
I never understood that logic either and I just have to question if people ever get tired of these topics about other girl’s appearances like it just seems like it’s a constant
People never get tired of the categorizing bodies and personalities content. Some women grow out of this but always attract teen girls that want to understand how the world works so it always repeats itself with brand new sentences. This boy/girl pretty is just a reheated discussion that I witnessed in the 10's teen magazines.
It’s possible to mute words on tiktok and instagram, let me figure out where it is again and I can let you know
Okay tiktok: go to your profile, then settings and privacy, then content preferences and you can filter keywords from whatever you want (fyp, following, etc)
Instagram: profile, settings and activity, content preferences, then there’s an option for specific words or phrases (or even emojis)
I have tried this so many times and it has never worked
It’s hit or miss, they’ll still push whatever makes them money because it is social media, but it helps a little bit as long as you’re going in and putting in whatever words you wanna avoid
I was in the adult industry in my 20’s, men like what they like and it’s as diverse as they are.
Unfortunately, a lot of men like ‘younger’ and imo are walking the legality line and it makes me fucking sick.
But let’s stop putting women against each other, it isn’t helping one another and god I hope younger people can get their act together better than us millennials. Your mental health depends on it.
Exactly who’s gonna sit down and tell this girl they don’t care about any of that …..some of them are just overconfident midlife crisis sickos that wanna be forever 21
Has it ever occurred to you that there’s a multi billion dollar industry devoted to making women feel ashamed of the one thing every human can’t help but do; age? Men aren’t the only ones that buy into the cult of youth. I’m not laying the blame at your feet in particular, of course! It’s just an utterly ridiculous situation.
And my generation (GenX) are kicking down the doors and taboos around menopause, so hopefully when you millennials get here you’ll be better informed and doctors more aware of treatment options. It’s fucking woeful right now, on all fronts; there’s been a veil of silence and secrecy over the whole shebang.
36 year old woman here fast approaching on the hormonal changes train chooooo choo 🫥. please continue the fight for us and maybe millennials will help the genZ… unless they actually solve age like i’m seeing many try to lol
Why are those people always talking about being the prettiest girl in class or not being it? I know it's a metaphor but still... Get the fuck out of high school, you're 35, Brenda!
Can I also just say how silly the whole "oh she's just pretty because of makeup and styling" sentiment is? Styling yourself well is a skill that often takes years to hone—getting to know yourself inside and out, figuring out what suits you, narrowing down exactly which looks work for you and why and then carefully curating your wardrobe and makeup. Sabrina has MASTERED that skill. I don't even listen to her, but in every photo I see of her she looks stunning. Who even decided that effort negates someone's beauty instead of adding to it, anyway?
For them to say she’s not even pretty everyone in that post is pretty and it’s apples to oranges. The moon and the sun can’t compare to each other. They both shine when it’s their time.
not only that, makeup doesn’t give you features, it enhances it.
Idk, some people contour themselves into a whole new face. If that makes em happy, and it looks good to them, then great!!! I'm sure they look "pretty".
That said I wouldnt refer to someone who uses makeup to change the perception of their features as "naturally pretty" either.
For instance, Cameron Diaz was/ is naturally pretty. Kylie Jenner is not (at least not anymore).
I still don’t understand. Tf is boy pretty ?
"attractive to men"
Boy pretty = boys find attractive
Girl pretty = girls find attractive
👀 what. Like I get it but, what.
Basically, features that most boys would find attractive in a woman are different than features most girls would find attractive in a woman.
I get the premise, but the premise isn't even true!!
You can recognize another girl is pretty with makeup and without makeup. Or just with makeup. Or that she looks better without makeup (maybe she doesn't know how to do makeup to enhance her features but she's still pretty)...
This is such a bs construct of what it means to be pretty and to who.
Unfortunately, it is true. While men and women aren't really all that inherently different from each other, their upbringings tend to differ in a lot of ways. They're conditioned differently. This leads to a lot of the "gender specific behaviors" that are often seen. For instance, ask a woman to walk down a street alone at night and ask a man to do the same. Their responses will be different because they've been conditioned differently.
I'm going to also point out that I was talking about majorities. There are obviously always exceptions and outliers. And honestly, "boy pretty" and "girl pretty" have a lot of overlap, and aren't mutually exclusive.
... so you agree while saying you disagree?
And, yes, gender-specific behaviors and expectations exist. Sometimes with good reason. Never said they don't.
Just that the distinction between "boy pretty" and "girl pretty" is a social construct.
Men and women are very inherently different. How old are you?
I meant mentally.
You are young and naive. Women and men are very different.
how
please give me some explanations
While it’s overgeneralizing like most of these ‘sorting things into categories’ trends are, the basic idea is there. You know how some men are convinced by other men that women love huge muscles, and a guy who isn’t ripped to the point of obvious steroid use won’t get any girls? So they go to the gym, make it their personality and get huge- just to find that only other men are complimenting them and interested in what they’re doing?
It’s like that. Sometimes the things that straight people find appealing and aspirational in their own sex are not the things the opposite sex are attracted to. If I was given a challenge to dress and style myself to be appealing to a room full of straight men, then asked to do the same to be appealing to a room full of straight women, those outfits would look very different.
A good example is a tumblr post I saw many years ago about how you can tell if a man made a fantasy genre woman to appeal to men or if a woman made a fantasy genre woman to appeal to women. The gist is that the man appealing one was like this: (sexy baddie)
And the female appealing one is more like this (classic feminine pretty, less sexualized, long beautiful hair, super detailed and gorgeous dress, etc.)
That is something to think about. Thank you for that.
It’s pretty much the same thing as male gaze vs female gaze.
I thought it meant androgynous
I feel like it's reversed because men love to bitch about women in the first collage for "doing too much", "too much makeup" or being "thots" while being sexually attracted to them. On the other hand they praise blonde (bleached but they can't see it) and no makeup (full makeup but they can't see it) girls and are also sexually attracted to them.
It’s both because everyone in the world is different. You can’t generalise and put the whole world into one way of thinking.
"Boy pretty" those are just latinas😭 leave them alone💔
I would say this is the opposite. Sabrina is definitely boy pretty. The other girl has the insta Kardashian look that other insta Kardashian looking girls like.
Absolutely. The Kardashian look is so popular among women. And isn't the "cute girl-next-door" been what men have been claiming to want for decades? I know Sabrina doesn't perfectly fit the girl next door image, I think she's close enough.
I think it entirely depends what kind of communities you are around and then also just what everyone likes individually, so basically just common sense that has always existed really that tastes differ and so the whole concept of trying to say which is more popular is pointless.
In my personal experience as a British South Asian the first look is way more popular with guys and Sabrina is more what girls appreciate in terms of fun makeup, hair and fashion and being girly.
I can totally see how it would be flipped for different circles though, and that’s the beauty of this world, people like different things.
Most of the time, yeah, she doesn't. However, when she's not stage-ready (less makeup, simpler clothes), she fits the "girl next door" look pretty well.
Does anyone else remember those Bratz dolls from the early 2000s...? How is their look still so popular 25 years later?!
they’re latina women.they just happen to look like kardashian women cause of the hair
It's the makeup
yall need to stop talking about beauty ngl
Boy pretty? Girl pretty?
I don't know, tell that to the lesbians and bisexuals. Everyone's attractive :3
Edit: I'm bi yall
Even as a straight woman: all of these women are really attractive and I have a lot of respect for the effort and skill that went into looking like this
I mean, I'm a lesbian, but all women are attractive? I mean, everyone is beautiful in their own way, sure, but a lot of us have types. I'm not attracted to every woman I see.
It just kind of reminded me of when homophobic guys are like "ugh, I just don't want gay men to hit on me" and then men are like "honey, why do you assume you are even our type?"
I'm definitely not attracted to every woman I see, lol.
I'm bi, I didn't mean that every lesbian or bisexual person is attracted to every woman. I meant that some of us do find the boy pretty women attractive (on the assumption that boy pretty is people that are attractive to men and girl pretty is to women. Because I don't know the exact meaning of it).
I'm sorry I can't explain well, my English is limited
Bi here, agree. Personally I don't find neither of these looks appealing, and while I'm sure that WLW who adore this looks exist, they're both very straight-coded attractive.
The idea that WLW are desperate for 🐈 as the average man is tired and annoying, same for bi people being attracted to anything that breaths.
Try less online, more offline. None of this stuff matters really.
Ummmmm I didn’t know “boy pretty” is a thing or “girl pretty” is a thing. What the hell?
And many people have different ideas of what looks attractive to them which makes the whole post even dumber.
Both are pretty to me.
Guess that means I'm nonbinary.
Maybe people have different tastes regardless of their gender??? Maaaybe?
I’m tired of people using their preference as a default for everyone on earth lol just because some people think they’re girl/boy pretty doesn’t mean they are, some people would see it as the opposite
The funny thing about this entire narrative is that it assumes that all men think the same and all women think the same, ignoring preferences and cultural differences lol. It’s laughable.
Boys and girls famously never have different types, and also sapphics don't exist ig
'Boy pretty girl pretty girl dinner boy cats vs girl cats' IM SICK OF ITTTTT ARENT WE SUPPOSED TO BE THE GENERATION TO DISMANTLE THE GENDER BINARY
Why do these kind of people love making women hate each other? Like, both are pretty! People have their own styles in make-up, fashion, and aesthetics!
Who the fuck cares if a woman is dressing up for attention? Who the fuck cares if a woman is dressing up to make herself feel beautiful and confident? In the end, it's a woman's choice!
If you hate men so much that you hate women who love men, then you have a very deep problem with yourself.
The girl pretty and boy pretty thing is just racist slop. Someone out there is clearly envious of Latina baddies
Isn't it just male gaze/female gaze? What am I missing?
Except that “male gaze women” is often used by nlogs to say a woman isn’t pretty/artificial pretty and even more often, to say curvy women are trashy
*women of color
I’ve seen many white women who were called “boy pretty” or “male gaze” so its not just non-white women being insulted like that so
I’ve seen skinny women too? is that to it only happens to them, it’s just a pattern that most of these videos typically show latina women in the before slide. Then a white blonde in the second.. like it isn’t the american beauty standard
Some people purposely style themselves in ways that are intended to attract more attention from a particular group. I don't think the examples speak for everyone, but male/female gaze and societal conditioning are real.
It's time to follow Australia's lead and ban social media for under 16s.
Look. This is why we have The Pan/Bisexual Council of Relative Hotness. We are entrusted with the sacred task of saying who is objectively hot or not without the biases monosexuals have. If they have a queery about prettiness they can submit the form on the website and it will go on the Councils docket. We are on winter break right now obviously but I think we have a meeting in early Jan.
Re Sabrina Carpenter tho we have already ruled some time ago and the verdict was: smoking hot 🔥
TDIL: There is “boy pretty” and “girl pretty.”
Umm. Okay.
????????? god im so glad to have nothing in common with some people lol
Yep. That terrible bone structure is really holding her back. /s
I don't believe boy pretty and girl pretty are mutually exclusive. What would be considered beautiful in one culture isn't seen the same way in others, like even region to region in the same country and between lifestyle groups. Moreover, most men say they don't even like makeup on women- when what they really mean is they don't like obvious/over-the-top makeup. By that standard, Sabrina's is probably closer to boy pretty.
"Take away the makeup and styling" as if the first slide isn't also wearing a pound of makeup and has her hair done??
Sabrina is gorgeous most importantly inside as well as outside. And blondes and brunettes should not compete there's simply no point.
There is definitely male gaze vs female gaze but this is just stupid lol
It's accented sexuality vs. accented natural beauty. Nothing to do with brunette/ethnic vs. blonde/white, in fact 4 out of 6 in pic 1 seem to be white lol.
I actually had to check again after reading tis comment cause at first I thought they were all pictures of the same person, on the first pic, just with different light.
The first one is a copy paste of almost everyone on Instagram. And they are using a ton of makeup, filters, surgeries, etc.
no they’re just latinas with 2016 makeup
I'm from Latin America and no one looks like that outside social media.
latinas exist outside latin america. i guess that's maybe just a very american style (ie from the united states)
This is annoying for sure. I think on pinterest you can hit hide or not interested or something
…someone has a fetish
What is this
Maybe I'm different, but I always considered Carpenter to be a Boy Pretty white woman. Maybe I just like a low-key look, but I always found a Girl Pretty woman not be the the type trying to look or dress sexy, but that's just me and me alone.
Covering everything besides her face..
She has good proportions, clear skin, generally pleasing individual features, and as a whole they complement each other quite well. She is quite gorgeous.
The women these guys demean are always more attractive than they let on. They seem to be mistaking a type for attractive. She isn’t his type. That’s ok. That doesn’t mean she isn’t attractive.
Besides personality and energy have a huge impact. I don’t know much about her personally, but her visual energy. Her expression and posture say confidence without ego. That’s incredibly attractive
This is so oversimplified 💀 Also Sabrina is so so so so cute and if someone can’t see that, they are simply blind lol
I can't wait until folks don't feel the need to wear fake eyelashes on a daily basis.
Weirdest thing about the copy-paste Latina thing is that the girl people use as the poster child for them isn’t even Latina. She’s a white girl pretending to be Latina.
Isn't it the other way tho? I always style myself more towards 1st whenever i go to work or go out etc or generally just to feel good.. I never once even considered 2, even tho she does look pretty but never gave me the oh ya i wanna totally look like her. [ but alot of guys were more into that natural stepford wife look i guess]
I am adorable. I don't need some rando's approval to feel that way.
I’m getting flashbacks to 2010s tumblr…
Lol.. whatever this person is saying applies to slide 1 too. Can ppl just exist anymore without being labeled, scrutinized, weighted, measured, assessed, judged .. goddamn
Uh I think different people just have preferences for who they want 🤷🏻♀️
My 2¢ as a guy:
The “Boy pretty” look doesn’t really have anything to do with ethnicity, it’s nonsense to make you believe what “guys like”. 20 something years ago, the entertainment and makeup industry portrayed Kim Kardashian as the hottest chick on the planet and convinced everyone that her look was the one to copy.
And the look requires a lot of makeup, fake lashes, nails, gloss, lipstick…some of you ladies have more brushes and palettes than freakin’ Michael Angelo. And all that means one thing: Money
Whether it was to feel pretty for yourself or to get guy’s attention, it truly doesn’t matter when the name of the game is to move the money from your pocket to theirs and they do it by playing off your insecurities.
They do the same thing to us in the form of hair loss and boner pills.
Capitalism is evil and damaging, but only if you let it be. Learn to love yourself and encourage others to do the same.
What the fuck is happening
I thinknitd opposite. When sabrina isnt wearing makeup she is stunning. But her makeup is god awful.
also ngl it feels racially motivated. all the "boy pretty" women are latina, and i always see "girl pretty" being depicted with white women. interesting
Imagine having the time to post about weird shit like “girl pretty” (not referring to OP, but to the screencaps).
She's cute, but I don't think she's an attractive woman. I find her face punchable. Maybe it's because I hate blonde people.
Your jealousy is both hilarious and pathetic.
My jealousy of what?
Being a girl's girl doesn't mean everyone has to have the same aesthetic criteria as you. Talk a walk outside and think to yourself "do all people have to find the same things beautiful?"
So latinas are “boy pretty” & white girls are “girl pretty”…?
Like people are taking the time to put energy on this and not that Trump and the Natzis are taking all the money from the USA before they scoot off to Argentina. After leaving us in a violent dystopian reality. Yah this is important.
Omg this is a new level of mean... I have always thought everyone s beautiful to someone and no one is beautiful to everyone.. Don't see how bringing others down makes someone pretty.. Makes zero sense all boys don't think the same people are pretty, example some boys think girls are unattractive and boys are pretty 😂😂
These people should just say "I am pretty" and be done with it.
it's strange that you say "when you take away her makeup, clothes, and everything else... she's not pretty at all". sabrina carpenter is gorgeous, and you don't have to call her unattractive just to prove a point. then, in the next paragraph, you say "it's time to stop bullying others". strange combination of sentences in my opinion.
i agree with the fact that we shouldn't be projecting ill on others simply bc we aren't getting (male) attention that we want. heavy on the "that you say you don't care about".
the idea of ethnic girls being "boy pretty" comes from the racist "spicy/sexy/flirty latina" stereotype, the way i see it, especially in contrast to a white, blue eyed, blonde haired woman being "girl pretty".
i know you can block certain words from your own comments and posts, but idk about other ppl's. i think the text-focused medias (twitter, threads, reddit) have the settings you're looking for. photo-video-focused medias tend not to :(
This trench will do nothing except hurt the girls it deems boy pretty.
im gay lmao the girls they choose for "boy pretty" are just so much hotter to me tbh than "girl pretty"
RELEASE ME. RELEASE MEEEEEE.
Pretty is pretty. Anyways I love women they’re fantastic
Sabrina Carpenter is hot caliente 🔥
also can we just address the implication that men would think a woman is pretty bc he wants to fuck her while women would only want to look like her? like the whole boy pretty girl pretty thing seemed very straight to begin with bc i never see women who look gender nonconforming or otherwise look stereotypically gay on these things but still. holy heterosexism. i do not necessarily want to LOOK like a woman if i think she's pretty maybe i just want to fuck her!
I think they are all petty. Women in general are pretty so who cares what males think. Id rather compliment and get compliments from other women and girls
Do they get more male attention than you sweetie?
Sabrina’s “girl pretty” but it’s most likely she had some procedures done :/ like seriously, can we stop with this “__ pretty” nonsense
Big booty latinas 😛
There’s some racist undertones in this and its mad uncomfortable. I love Sabrina but doesn’t mean you gotta bring down POC just because they don’t fit Eurocentric beauty standards :/
She sounds like a cope-aholic.
Completely agree but they’re clearly a teenager and unfortunately it’s normal at that age to have at least some kind of idiotic ways of thinking. Let’s keep educating each other and help each other out but also be careful to evaluate things for how they likely are.. I’m sure 98% of this sub is made of women who grew out of the nlog way, so that we now look back and find it cringe. But we had to grow out of it first.
Edit to the down voters: I would LOVE to read your old Facebook statuses and conversations with friends at 17, btw. It is normal to be a bit cringe as teens, and not understanding everything of the world. We really have to stop expecting 16yo to have the maturity of a 30yo. We can be both critical and realistic.
No, let’s NOT normalize that or make generalizations. No boys will be boys. Thanks
Where did you get “let’s normalize that”, pardon? Did you miss “completely agree” and “let’s keep educating and help each other out”?
Where on earth did they say boys will be boys.
It is normal to have stupid cringey ways of thinking and acting as a teen and learn from it and grow. That’s never going to be stop being true no matter what it involves and expecting teens to be perfect for everything is really weird.
Yeah it’s part of growing up to be introduced to all sorts of thought ideas and grow out of them, that’s how you learn and become an adult. And looking back I remember going through so many phases and ways of thinking in a short space of time, 2 weeks was like a whole phase and in 2 months I could be a new person.
The first pic looks exactly like a teen I know locally and she posts things like “Jealous because I have silky hair and full lips”. It’s obviously not good that she posts like that and I hate it, but I hope she grows out of it and it’ll be something she cringes at soon.
i said and did way more cringe things than that but in a very different flavor than hair and lips. i hope someone helps change that. thinking that way can be grown out of but i believe it leaves a permanent stain 😕
Well said 🌸

ooooh slutshaming, how nice!
Sweetie, the rest of us grew up enough to realize there's no such thing as a thot, all the way back in 2007. I suggest you join the modern age where women are allowed to have sex and hating women for not hurting people is bad.
A blatantly Incorrect statement filled with wilfully ignorant stances on modern society. Congrats on your brownie points though.

What...
Men like boobs and stuff.
Aesthetic's nice.
But what are you saying? Hey. Remember you were literally born. Just... generations of guys liking boobs so hard that you were born.
My brother in Christ what are you on about?
