    We’re tiny, we’re toony, we’re all a little looney

    parent root
    2 points effing_usernames2_

    parent root
  • 67 points SmolishPPman

    Man these are So nostalgic.

Also, these are tiny toons, not Looney Toons

    parent
    5 points matrixifyme

Yes, Tiny toons! How old are these?
    Tiny toons invented mario kart?
How am I just learning about this.

    parent root
    5 points SmolishPPman

    I grew up with this

It’s basically Mario kart but cartoons. It came out in 1968, I’m not that old, but it was playing on television still in the 90s when I was a kid.

    parent

This is Tiny Toon Adventures, and I actually had some!

    parent
  • 15 points Solid_Snark

It’s weird they have two separate toys in the top left for Plucky and Gogo.

I wonder if those were the original concept sculpts?

    parent
    18 points HotTakes4HotCakes

Those 2 are the "toddler" toys, for kids younger than 3. Usually when you got a kids meal, you got the default toys for ages 3 and up, but you could request the toddler version. Those ones were usually less complex, featured no moving parts, harder for a kid to get in their mouth, etc.

Not every toy set included a toddler toy, so if you requested one during one of those promos, you might get some generic toddler toy they had on hand or a left over from a previous promo.

    parent root
    2 points Dunnjamin

IIRC I think it's just showing that you could remove their boat and tub from the wheel base to use as tub toys. Or they were chase figures.

    parent root
    6 points HotTakes4HotCakes

Nope, you couldn't remove the wheels.

    parent root
    3 points effing_usernames2_

No, look closer. The toddler version doesn’t have the flip hinges showing on the drivers

    parent root

    parent
  • 4 points 90sGuyKev

Tiny Toons. Though they are the same universe

    parent
  • 3 points Ashcatchem87

I had half of them, McDonalds used to have the best toys especially during holiday season.

    parent
  • 3 points rolfraikou

The fact that they swapped, so you actually WANTED repeats was so cool.

    parent
  • 3 points geoffsykes

I had the Porky in a carrot one.

    parent
  • 4 points Sno_Wolf

Those are Tiny Toons, you philistine.

    parent
  • 2 points Prestigious_Dream_27

I had that green thing in the bathtub. Back in the day I knew what it was, but now I have no idea.

  • 2 points FashionSweaty

Literally saw every single one of these at an antique mall near me today. Big nostalgia blast.

    parent
  • 2 points sage101

Are these the ones where you dragged them backwards to wind them up and when u let go they zoomed forward?

    parent
    7 points wolfpup1294

You could push the head down and a different one would pop up on the other side. I had the Daffy one but I can't remember what the other side was.

    parent root
    3 points ElusiveWhark

Plucky, Babs was on the other side

    parent root
    2 points Courwes

They appear to be next to the ones they changed into (compare the wheels). The wheels are the same just reversed. You can tell they were flipped over in the image.

    parent root
  • 2 points helloaaron

    I had most of these

    parent
  • 3 points Saynt614

Holy shit... I forgot these existed until right now.

I had Buster and Babs. Man the toys in Happy Meals were so much better back in the day.

    parent
  • 3 points SilverB33

I've had about 6-7 of these interchangeable cars myself

    parent
