In the nearly two years I've been living here, i have tried all the hairdressers in my town and everyone of them have butchered my hair lol. I haven't had a nice haircut since I lived in Australia. All I have is a fuck ass bob with bangs, all I want is a trim, yet somehow I always leave with some sort of rendition of a Karen haircut or a mullet. I'm located around Carrick-Larne area but I have a car, I am willing to travel and I am willing to pay however much it will cost. My friends have joked that I need a gay person to cut my hair, I think they might be right. Please comment your recommendations.

Hard to beat Oscars on Church Lane in Belfast City Centre. Joanne or Lily. It hasn't had a major updo, so you are paying for quality of the cut. The Merchant Hotel send their guests there, which speaks for itself. It's a Belfast institution.
Have had a few bad experiences there so wouldn't rate.

Does the gay person need to be good at cutting your hair? Or will just a gay person work?
I used to work for a gay hairdresser and I wouldn’t let him cut my pubes. I was fully qualified but he never let me have my own clients, I had to keep on ‘junioring’ for him. I did his washes and blowdries but he never let me cut. He was a smelly bastard too. Don’t be fooled if they’re gay, just saying. 🤷🏻♀️
Classic hair studio lower Ormeau Road. Was just in getting trimmed on a walk in (im a guy with semi long hair) but the main hairdresser is lovely, not long opened, incredibly well trained and well worth her salt for a very reasonable price. Really warm and inviting banter too. She's like 25 reviews on Google, all 5 stars
