I'm misfortune to have multiple nerve problems that gives me chronic pain ,including trigeminal neuralgia and bulging discs ,hard looking at this photo and seeing how much these things delicate things can give so much good and bad to us .
Every time I see something like this I just think back to that existentially horrifying scene from RoboCop 2 where a guy's nervous system in a jar hopelessly watches as his own body gets butchered, unable to even move, scream or close his eyes.
I remember explaining this to my girlfriend that this is really all we are and that everything else just basically exists to support this. Once it clicked with her it’s all she kept talking about lol like it really shook her to her core 😂
Oh man I went and saw the Body World's exhibit years ago for one of my birthdays when it was in town. It was a surprise as I hadn't really asked to go but it was super cool. I'd love to go see it again if they ever came back around.
