SCOTUS is set to abolish the fucking Voting Rights Act and birthright citizenship (in line with Project 2025's goals). DoJ is getting voter registration data. They're still set to criminalize abortion nationwide as well as trans people existing. I could go on and on and on because so far there's been no change in course for the Trump 2.0 administration's march to make Project 2025 a reality.

Start one and you will get people to join I guarantee it. Stage peaceful protests. Start humanitarian efforts that help the people Trump is hurting, such as food drives, toy drives during the holidays, etc. Pass out information on people's legal rights against ICE. For both you and your organization, become an ally to the people Trump is targeting with pain and trauma. Run voter registration drives and help people get to the polls. Run for local office, or your local school board. Organize boycotts of local businesses that pledge allegiance to the Trump regime. These organizations of resistance need to be large and diverse to really start pushing back and they need the people who are sitting in their chairs reading hopeful headlines but not engaging in politics to finally get up and help.
This shit isn't going away any time soon and the odds are against everybody but there are ways to not only mitigate it but to start pushing back politically. And we can't just sit down and expect the Democratic party to come to rescue because they are controlled opposition at this point. They're there to make headlines to make us feel better but they have no substance and they're not interested in winning.

It does. The organization I'm a part of has recruited several people over the past 2 months using Reddit to show what we've done and what we plan to do. We are working to make sure trans people are safe as well. That work gets easier the more people we have engaged in action. That's why it grinds my gears that there's people who are in denial about how bad things are, and who think it's acceptable to sit on the sidelines and shout to the people trying to help that they're condescending or assholes for it while at the same time bemoaning how things are still bad. And you likely aren't as safe as you feel you are.
I live in Mississippi. It's a crazy uphill battle to push back against the Trump regime here. Yet we have churches, families, random people tell us "thank you" for the work we've done to help them. We've gotten our name out and our membership has exploded recently. Still small, but growing much more rapidly than ever expected.
We recognize that trans people are not safe. Not at all under the Trump administration. There's significant challenge in helping them here but that is something we are doing. None of it would be possible without organizing like we have. And honestly people like you would benefit most from organizing and pushing back against this shit.
