A lot of precincts are decided by less than 1000 votes. Since a lot of people don't vote, you can expect the vote to be smaller than the total number of voters. All you need to do is insert a random number from 500-1000 into the total and you can win a majority of these small precincts. The number is small enough to be believable and not look obvious.
You don't need to win the big ones with big numbers, just a lot of the close ones. When you control the counting, you control the outcome. There's a reason the US would never allow international election observers.
We cannot simultaneously say "Republicans engage in voter suppression tactics intended to impede people who have the legal right to vote from voting" and "People who didn't vote are just as guilty as the people who voted for Republicans".

This is so devastating. The cruelty continues to shock me. I lived in that area years ago and there is a HUGE population of immigrants there and when I first heard of the deployment of ICE and Natl Guard to Portland, the Fourth Plain corridor is the area I was most worried for. That region was a favorite of mine and the people were awesome. Once a small strip mall shut down for the day and they fenced off the parking lot and turned it into a one-day rodeo. It was AMAZING. I live on the east coast now, but my heart is aching for my former neighbors out in the Couve.

Witnesses might not cooperate in the future and identities of who did it could disappear. ICE is probably destroying evidence as I type this. Plus, what if a statute of limitation kicks in by that time? Yeah, it would be great if anything can be done about this incident years from now but the time to act is now. States need to be do what NYC is doing and start arresting ICE officers who do things like this because there’s no guarantee that anything can be done in the future. The best way to get justice today would be for local law enforcement to investigate, which could lead to an arrest.

This is so devastating. The cruelty continues to shock me. I lived in that area years ago and there is a HUGE population of immigrants there and when I first heard of the deployment of ICE and Natl Guard to Portland, the Fourth Plain corridor is the area I was most worried for. That region was a favorite of mine and the people were awesome. Once a small strip mall shut down for the day and they fenced off the parking lot and turned it into a one-day rodeo. It was AMAZING. I live on the east coast now, but my heart is aching for my former neighbors out in the Couve.
