Idk. Maybe I am sheltered. But I have yet in my advanced age ever had a bad interaction with a Mexican individual. I don't speak Spanish but I know most of the curse words. They seem to be humble and hard working people who don't bother anyone or cause problems. Not at least in my area or experience. I hate what we have become and how racism is accepted and openly flaunted.
I joined a group on facebook that is about parasites in humans, its some weird shit lol joined out of curiosity. But the people in that group are blaming there "parasites" on immigrants!!! Its insane!
Good question. The responder on the line will send a message to a team. Any volunteers available to scout the area go and report what they see and if more people are available to respond they will.
An early report of ice sighting can help prevent an arrest in the first place. They are less likely to arrest anyone when they are being followed and documented.
Sometimes ice raids and incidents take hours. A warehouse raid especially.
People will reach out to families of the affected individual.
If they can get their name and nationality, then figure where they are being taken. They can find and help families fill out the required information on line. A bit like damage control.
It’s not legal to actually interfere. So documentation is important. They are doing this the right way. If ice says to back up, record your feet backing up.
They also don’t make the information public and available to the families that need to find their loved ones and most of the time it has to be translated and translators aren’t always available.
There is also support for families who need food clothing help while their loved one is taken often. It’s a man who is the primary family provider.
I'm on the team for Burlington, and this is exactly what we do. We document, which has the added bonus of preventing illegal actions and brutality bc people wanting to do bad things don't like to do so with witnesses. We remind the person being arrested what their rights are. We connect with the families so they know their loved one has been taken, and what info they will need to get in touch. We basically just support the person ICE is targeting and document as much as possible.
If anyone wants to help but is unable or unwilling to engage with ICE, passing out flyers, driving families to detention centers for visits, or donating money to cover legal fees is so appreciated!! Everyone can do their part and make a difference for our immigrant neighbors. And since it is a civil offense, the state does not provide an attorney. So only about 12% of those detained have legal representation. Every act of kindness and generosity matters!
Is there any programmers out that want to make an app on this for fun where you can report spottings of ice agents kinda like how Waze works with the police. It would be a fun side project. Hopefully this doesn’t get taken down but if programmers want to team up and code this, also would look good on a resume lol

Stupid people need scapegoats to blame for their problems. This regime follows the same fascist playbook as the axis powers from WWII

This is an old map, there is an updated one. Unfortunately, I can’t post images here. Let me see if I can find it and post the link.
That would be awesome. Need more awareness.
Latest map is on Cosecha’s insta! Thank you OP!
What actually happens when someone reports to this line?
