The City of Portland has officially released that two people were shot and injured by federal agents today. I think the sub could use this latest bit of official information as rumors are swirling, especially in light of the Minneapolis killing yesterday.

They were found 3 miles from the shooting location. Crazy they made it that far and it seemed like the weren't in pursuit of them at all.
Sounds like the local cops got called by the people who got shot, so the feds didn't even radio the locals to report they had shot several people
The impression I had from the article was that the police knew there had been a shooting, and then were contacted by the victims that had successfully fled federal authorities.

We have no idea what would have happened. Most likely result is lots of street violence followed by president DeSantis. Does he go full fascist? idk. But I do not think it would lead to a Harris or Biden presidency.

I'm reminded of those ICE raids on apartment buildings, the ones that they just arrested everyone. We need to send in the national guard and police to any building housing multiple members of ICE and CBP. Hotels, prisons, offices, whatever location they are using it needs to be busted into and destroyed. Officers all arrested with mug shots posted.
We need to show why it's important to support other's rights to people who have forgotten.
I would love it states actually do this, though it would probably set up a showdown between states and the federal government which will bubble up to an unfriendly Supreme Court.

This was not Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). This was Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Both DHS, but saying ICE is a misnomer here. Still unacceptable no matter what they call themselves, though. Just more criminal activity from the current administration.

The vast majority of agents people are calling ICE are actually CBP. They are the ones cosplaying in plate carriers and camouflage
CBP should have been razed to the ground during the Biden administration after the expose about the CBP facebook group where they were sharing rape memes about AOC.
CBP has jurisdiction anywhere within 100 miles of a land or sea border (i.e. the coast). So Portland, by nature of being within 100 miles of the ocean, is within CBP's technical jurisdiction, which is true of like 2/3 of all American residents

Trump might delay justice for these people but the statute of limitations for charging murder and attempted murder is pretty long. The next Democratic candidate absolutely must run on a platform of accountability and turn over any records pertaining to these episodes. If the records are lost or destroyed anyone involved should be fired and stripped of any public benefits, and charged if any applicable laws were broken.
Also they should absolutely be promising pardons to anyone charged with federal crimes for resisting the enforcement of illegal Trump policies.

You're assuming a narrative we do not know. From the article you posted, it sounds like:
CPB got in some altercation where they shot two people.
The victims successfully fled.
The victims contacted police.
That's what the article you posted tells us. That's it. By my reading, the article implies the police were aware of the shooting before contact with the victims, but it's not stated definitively. One could plausibly imagine the victims were able to successfully flee the feds despite their wounds, feds call police to garner their support in apprehension, victims call for help once home, police show up and confirm these are the people the feds reported. In such a case it would be weird to argue the unpardonable sin committed here was that the feds did not render medical attention to people they never had in custody. Assuming this is yet another gross misuse of force, there's no reason to make such a weird argument.
That could also be wrong. We do not have the entire picture yet. Which is why it is utterly moronic and childish to see the mob mass downvoting the idea many are eager to get the facts.
