    Team Chemistry is unbeatable

    parent
    148 points ArmiinTamzarian

Team jams to Miley Cyrus, hoops and saves to buy a Llama, I don't think there's anyone with superior vibes right now

    parent root
    59 points roymccowboy

The team that shoots HEB commercials together, stays together.

That's always been the Spurs' secret weapon.

    parent root
    5 points greatGoD67

    Good eating at affordable prices?

    parent root
    3 points mug3n

    Naw, big ole women everywhurr

    parent root
    59 points mioraka

Young players coming into the league together + winning early together in their career + goat organization in professional sports.

You add all of that together you get the Spurs.

You add the exact opposite of all that you get the Clippers.

    parent root
    12 points EdwardJamesAlmost

    Winning creates chemistry.

    Chemistry by itself creates…drugs?

    parent root
    3 points Spare-Friendship-917

Pretty much the plot of breaking bad

    parent root
    2 points NazRyuuzaki

Creating toxic concoction is still chemistry. So id say, Clippers are good chemistry wise

    parent root
    1 points EdwardJamesAlmost

    Base.

Unironically though the Spurs having 3 athletic guards that are relentless getting to the rim just wears down opposing defenses. Especially when you have to put like 3 bodies on Wemby

2 of these 3 guys are 6'6 as well (And Fox isn't small either)

    parent
    39 points Formal_Potential2198

    Slash Brothers

    parent root
    64 points pokexchespin

not to get too dweeby, but it feels kinda like physical offense spam/psy spam/bird spam in pokemon. on paper, it seems better to have a diverse set of pokemon/players, but in practice you can also hone in on one specific thing to wear down the few answers that work while making the rest unable to perform their roles and just easy food

    parent root
    17 points karmahavok

I need more Pokémon analogies in NBA reddit. Thank you.

    parent root
    6 points blankmindx

Drag (fox + slash bros) with mag (wemby) coming to take your phys wall to the three point line and torture him.

    parent root
    10 points GhostofSmartPast

    Fox is 6'5"

    parent root
    75 points ShaiFanClub

He's def not 6'5 probably more like 6'3. But he isn't small at that height

    parent root
    30 points Objective-Product361

And his lightning speed makes up for his size

    parent root
    14 points heresyforfunnprofit

He's basically an Olympic track star who decided to play basketball.

    parent root
    14 points devdude25

Literally the fastest foot speed on record in the NBA. He's been clocked running the court faster than anyone ever. Period.

    parent root
    5 points CourtConspirator

Really?? Even faster than John Wall or Russ? Damn

    parent root
    2 points TheFinalEvent9797

3 years ago he straight up blocked Curry on a closeout which basically never happens (in the last replay angle you can even see the Warriors bench starting to get up to celebrate the 3)

    parent root
    3 points Parrallax91

Oh shit even faster than Memphis Mike Conley?

    parent root
    3 points _Tar_Ar_Ais_

    had to be faster

    parent root
    1 points devdude25

The Usain Bolt of BBall. Yes Mr. Fox is faster

    parent root
    -1 points TopNet9

Apparently not fast enough to escape LeBron's chase down block!

    parent root
    1 points New_Writer_484

    Touche lol

    parent root
    5 points GhostofSmartPast

That's what I put before editing my comment so I guess my memory was right. He plays bigger than he is so that's why I assumed he was taller. Same with Ant Edwards.

    parent root
    1 points hubbity

I thought we would struggle not having shooters but our guards attacking the rim so relentlessly literally negates the fact that they aren’t shooting

    parent root
    1 points siphillis

Fox is also an insane athlete

2007 vibes when everyone brought brooms to school and work was pretty electric

The vibes were probably great when they were playing Starcraft on the plane after winning the finals

This new spurs squad is something else.

    parent
    5 points iChoke

Seem like high character guys too. I know it's probably coveted during draft interviews, especially for the Spurs.

    parent root
    5 points Eddie5pi

Just ignore the guy we drafted in 2021

These spurs and thunder teams remind me of warriors vs cavs. I’m waiting for the wemby chasedown block on j-dub in game 7 exactly 10 years after 2016 🥹🥹

why does it look like he’s trying to rizz up the huzz

    parent
    11 points xtiaaaan_

that’s how he always looks, dyl kinda has the same mannerisms as danny green. always licking their lips like they’re talking to a girl

    parent root

Interesting. I thought he was trying to huzz up the rizz.

From what I’ve seen Dylan Harper is actually a tiny bit better at getting to the rim.

    parent
    22 points Objective-Product361

Harper has quicker and more explosive drives to the rim. Castle is stronger and likes to play through contact when driving. Harper rely on skills and speed while Castle rely on pure grit and power.

    parent root
    11 points mioraka

Castle had a couple of insane acrobatic finishes during the Thunder game, the man has some insane body control.

    parent root
    11 points thedoming

Generally true but Harp is also physical as hell

    parent root
    8 points Objective-Product361

Oh true. Harper's strength no joke either 🤣 but I feel like his strength is utilized more on defense, at least for now. Castle just play better through contact currently.

    parent root
    16 points Armanewb

Why do you think Castle is watching his highlights?

    parent root
    23 points WhiteHeterosexualGuy

This post ain't about comparing them

    parent root
  • 5 points Ayos

When Wemby said "anyone would be hard to guard with the MVP on the floor" he was talking about himself. Castle and Harper would be hard to guard when Wemby is on the floor.

    parent
  • 1 points grapplebaby

    Was expecting uniboob!

    parent
  • 0 points anexpectedfart

Can the spurs keep all 3 guards when their contracts are up? Castle, Vassell and Harper?

    parent
  • -4 points Substantial-Love7943

Funny when OKC does this type of shit it gets called lame or soft

    parent
    3 points RepresentativeAge444

It is. But these Spurs cats 😍

    parent root
    4 points Mr_Times

Once Wemby wins one every casual fan will turn on him too. Everyone likes the underdog, nobody likes the dominant first seed.

    parent root
    3 points trezzy1242

Don't worry, it's a pattern. The hate will come soon enough lmao

    parent root
    6 points Conn3er

Then you win enough and become liked again

People fucking hated the Spurs from 05-08

Then they won again in 14 and became beloved, probably because more people hated the team they beat.

    parent root
    1 points _19911118

    Then they're just haters
