Unfortunately, some people use it to scam. But there are many legitimate ways to use AI image generation. It’s not only about scams.
The same applies to AI text tools: hackers can use them for bad purposes, but they can also help many people. It’s like a knife, you can use it to harm someone, or you can use it to prepare dinner.

For example, look at Fit Aitana on Instagram. She’s completely legitimate, and her followers know she’s AI-generated. People still follow her, and she even has contracts with major brands like Nike etc.

People need to pay attention to the current social media meta. If you're doing an AI influencer now, then you're late to the party. Even The Clueless has all but abandoned their Aitana Lopez project in favor of selling generative AI tools. Creating images for socials is still cool, but I think the shift has been to unique creative direction, since anybody can now create any idea.

If you manage to get a big following while not doing porn or weird stuff, you could get some small/medium companies to hire you like they hire any other influencer.
