I'm on a paid Gemini account. Google Nano Banana Pro has been relatively stable so far. I pay to get high-quality 2K (2048px) art for my projects.
But the last 24 hours have been pure hell.
I'm getting exclusively 1K. Every single generation!
It feels like Google has quietly, without warning, switched my Pro account over to some kind of budget Flash-mode. My images look like a pixel smoothie compared to what they used to be. Has anyone else experienced this?
Update: I didn’t receive a message “you reached the limit “
Bro same, where do we need to complain legally? Cause this is ridiculous, limitations has been stupid lately, now the low resolution! Wtf are we paying Pro plan for
If you use in https://aistudio.google.com/ via API, you can control quality and orientation. 4K is max but set with slider.
"Update: I didn’t receive a message “you reached the limit “"
It doesn't say that now. :-D It just silently switches to Nano Banana instead of Pro.
Not sure this will fix your problem, but use aistudio.goofle.com instead of Gemini.com and you can actually select 1k. 2k, or 4k from the drop-down menu in the right side customization panel instead of just asking for what you want in your prompt.
Also lets you attach a paid API key if you want to.
API key is required, not optional, on AI studio.
