Suddenly, Nano Banana Pro stopped respecting the prompt's requested aspect ratio and started using the reference image's aspect ratio instead. Even when I ask it to resize, it keeps giving me the reference image's aspect ratio. Does anyone else experience this problem?

It usually defaults to the reference image's aspect ratio. You can try adding a 2nd blank image with the aspect ratio you want. Sometimes that does the trick. What are you using for Nano Banana?
I am using Gemini 3.0 on Google Chrome. It was not happening before; I was requesting an aspect ratio but then all my images now are 1:1 because the reference image is 1:1.
In the Pro version, there's a drop down for your preferred aspect ratio.
Where? In a Gemini chat? Or in Studio? There is no such drop down at least in PC browser.
Mine's in studio on a PC. It's on the right side of the screen right above where you select "resolution".
Oh yeah, there is such thing in Studio but no such thing in Gemini chat so I was curious, thanks. :-) Sadly Studio uses API and I don't have it. Overall thanks for the info. :-)
I think I figured it out; I just updated Google Chrome and now is working. In any other browser it does not work well, Google Chrome needs to be on the latest version which for me is Version 143.0.7499.110 (Official Build) (64-bit).
Seems to have gotten better for me - either you hit some hidden quota or maybe they had a server side issue
Use photogenstudio.com. All ratios respected as well as resolution.
