Hey people, Some time ago I realized that my legal/social name won't do no more so for the past weeks I've been searching a LOT of baby names websites looking for nice names to put in my list of final option

For now I have: • Laurel • Zenith • Atlas • Indigo • Lior

The rules are that It mustn't be hard to pronounce in both English and, generally, in romance languages and it shouldn't have an immediate correlation to a meaning that evokes sex/gender (like sun and moon = masculine and feminine).

Any suggestions would be appreciated! :))

  • I like Laurel the most

It is also my top option!

Ye, also Zenith was a Russian covid vaccine, so do what you want with that information.

  • Zephyr, Rowan, Lark, Wren, Robin

  • Atlas evokes a very clearly male image to me. Love Lior, although I'd assume you're Jewish, not sure if you are or aren't. Indigo is my favourite! The easiest to say in romance languages as well.

Maybe Wren, Solace, Ash, Sal, Sky, River, Ever, Caro, Wynn, Ellis, Ocean, Dove, Rain, Winter, June, July, Sasha, Clover, Lux, Tally, Briar, Sage, Lark, Rio, Jasper, Avalon, Sylvan

Haha, no, I'm not Jewish, but I liked it because it's gender neutral and means "I have light" or "my light". All the name suggestions are nice, the problem is their pronunciation, in Portuguese (my language), for example, "Dove" would be said "Dóf" because the first syllable is harsh but the second is not, as the "e" in "ve" is a soft vowel and the "v" would turn into an "f" because the vowel isn't really audible.

  • I'm in Australia, and Laurel & Indigo strikes me as purely fem and Atlas purely masculine..

Zenith.... its a lot. Like. The pinnacle of something... peak human?

I would definitely go with Lior from your list. I think it is a male name but the sound of it is quite soft and when I first heard it I assumed it was feminine. But the only one I've known is a semi-famous musician in Australia called Lior who's a man.

I heard that Laurel is a feminine name in English speaking countries, Indigo wouldn't say but I may be biased (I love purple). Lior is a genderless Hebrew name that means "my light" or "I have light". (I like Zenith because it would be my peak not in a sense of being above others but to be at splendor)

Maybe Ren Short for renaissance Would suit you then

  • Indigo seems best suited based on your rules! I personally see it as gender neutral and have seen it both used for male and female characters in books. It is also easy to pronounce in romance languages!
