Context/original comment link:
The comment is in a video (which this link sends to) of a gfl2 post regarding the soon to be released globally character, loreley, aka DSR-50 and one of her dorm interactions being way to lewd for the poor lad, as someone who shares the same sentiment I, as a robophobe, am slowly loosing faith in the playable character (commander, aka SKK) of gfl2.
Anyhow, link b'low👇

u/No_Presentation_9361, the downvotes are mysterious!
I don't know, but my impression of that game/series/whatever was that was the main content so it's like saying you're disappointed because the articles in Playboy have been going downhill and the pictures are creepy. I mean, fair enough if you feel that way but if you say that among general Playboy fans, be prepared.
"I really don't like how there is cheese on my cheese pizza. I just wanted oily bread!"
Why yall put Cheese on my Cheeseburger
Who the fuck but hands on my hand sanitizer
“I’m sorry what-“
“Shut yo bitchass before I come in there and shoot yo-“
Literally how my bf is tho this guy would eat it without the cheese if he could he just hates cheese so much 😭
Nah, I’ve seen this reaction to fucking horny Warframe art. Even before explicitly caked up skins were a thing.
I think it’s more people just taking issue with “yucking my yum” or whatever you want to call it. Coming into a thread with horny art and saying you don’t like it is generally bad.
Unless it’s FFXIV, then it’s a requirement.
It looks like a lewd game. Unless I'm mistaken, its kinda weird to play a lewd game and then act annoyed thats it lewd.
From briefly looking into it it looks like there's tons of gameplay and maybe a dozen or more game modes. The part in question isn't just lewd, it's absurd. The jiggle physics are comically overdone.
Yea... games like that tend to have that kind of content. Maybe its new to you, but this is kinda par for course with this kind of game..
I plan on getting Baldur's Gate 3 next week, lol. Probably the closest I'll ever play, and even knowing as little as I know about this game, I doubt that's comparable.
Ecchi anime games are its own beast.
Lol, wtf. I need to stop looking up shit I see on reddit!
Nooooo! My innocencee.... ah, fuck it's gone
Complaining about lewdness in a lewd game then getting downvoted for it is not mysterious at all.
Its also just bad form to imply an insult to the target demographic of a thing.
He outed himself as a non gooner is my guess
Complaining about gooner shit in the subreddit for the second iteration of a game where the first iteration had “damaged” art of the characters that usually involved clothing being destroyed to verg risque levels. It’s called reading the damn room. GFL has always had lewd elements to it.
Literally the first post I saw on that sub
Don’t know if it’s that mysterious
It really isn't. I'm genuinely confused as to what they thought the game they've been playing was about.
Acknowledging that something bad used to be good, that's too much for most reddit users to understand
they’re getting downvoted by creeps
Most comments that say they don't like lewd content get downvoted. Espescially in anime communities.
Just saying: dont consume anime/anime-like media if you hate fanservice or lewd stuff and leave the people who just want to enjoy their shit the hell alone
And if you want to complain, dont make it everyones problem. Just stop consuming it if you dont like it, its that easy
Pretty weird thing to say.
Not every anime has fanservice and/or lewd stuff, and even then, if you liked an anime before they added "too much of it" you have your right to say that you don't like it now.
If you are(or was) a fan of some anime/game/book/film, you want to be able to discuss it with the fandom.
"If you don't like it, don't watch it" thing is extremely flawed. It assumes that you have to like EVERYTHING about the work to be a "true fan" and be a part of the community.
And nobody makes it everyone's problem. People like to share their opinions on the internet. And it's just fine until it's an opinion you disagree with, then it's automatically "mean", "drama farming", "ragebaiting" and "you should leave this community because we can only have one shared opinion on things".
I dislike meaningless hate as much as the next guy, but disliking some part of the work≠hating. People can like the designs, visuals, but hate writing and fan service, it doesn't make them "unfit" to be in the community.
You make solid points, but the guy in the post is supposedly was a regular player of a lewd game and was complaining that it was lewd.
You can't play a lewd game "just for the gameplay" then act all surprised that there's anime titties in it. You have to know what you're getting into with the game and complaining about a core part of it is kind of making it others problem.
It's like watching american football and then complaining about the violence in an american football forum.
Well, the guy I was replying to generalized it to "Anime and anime-like media", so I was talking about THAT, not OP's post.
Obviously complaining about lewd content about a lewd game is silly. Like complaining about needless torture in a Saw franchise subreddit.
But in the case of anime and lewd fanservice the argument works because it's not the core part of it. It's a big part of the appeal to some, sure, but it's not genre defining.
I feel like they were still talking about the post, but I wont claim to read minds.
I can't read minds either, but the way it's written and the way they specify "Anime and anime-like media" (and the original commenter was talking about anime subs as well) makes me feel like it was about anime in general.
Either way "don't like it – don't watch it" is an okay statement in theory, but it's so misused, like, come on, let people enjoy things in different ways, criticism ≠ hate
I know, I just highly doubt they made that comment without keeping the post in mind. But since they didn't say that, I'm not gonna assume.
In this case, "dont like it - dont watch it" makes sense.
Eh, does it really? Because the guy in the screenshot doesn't really complain, they like the game, just confused about some part of it, so they decided to share their thoughts. It doesn't really soud like a deal-breaker for them
He's apparently a non-gooner who is complaining about it being a gooner game as if he had no idea it was lewd.
He acts like the game randomly turned lewd when the lewdness is a major part of the game.
Sure, in the end he's just giving his opinion. But if he's actually being made uncomfortable for playing the game, it truly is his own fault for playing it.
There's a difference between criticism like "I wish they had more Mage like characters" and openly complaining about a main selling point of the game, yknow.
It's becoming hard to take the use of the word "gooner" seriously, it's flung around like candy at anything, and more often from right-wing weirdos. It's getting to the point where if someone likes a female character with a design that shows some ankle or midriff or something and aren't fully covered up, then they get it thrown at them. Some backwards-ass regressive stuff as far as I'm concerned.

gfl devs if there was a test for making a good game with dogshit lore: (insert super F gif)
I play umamusume for the gambling mechanics
exactly, its litteraly safe horse racing
Also its just so wholesome seeing them run
Bro got downvoted by the gooner society
ye
There are plenty of games to go if you don't want lewd mechanics. Simple as. For many it's a selling feature. With games getting censored, it's understandable not to like that post
I thought it was Touhou.
After many clicks to reach the video, I can totally see why what's his name doesn't like it. Jiggle physics ramped to the point of absurdity and beyond lol. Not to yuck anyone's yum, but I just don't get it.
You aren't the target audience. I don't complain about seeing booba in a hentai game, point is that if you're playing a lewd game with fan service, you should expect fan service and lewd shots.

Go*n (or go*ner if you wanna go with a hard r) is a slur. The politically correct term is "a man of culture".
bc they cant comprehend a non-gooner
Sentences starting with NGL get my downvote
Fair nuff, ngl
I honestly find it amazing how you actually get more gameplay and better writing from Gooner games you can feel the passion
Goonerbait aside, they unironicaly got cracked writers
Non-goon and robophobe are such funny terms AHAHAH but i agree. You will ALWAYS be downvoted by creeps, especially if its robot-related. Like the time AI bros donvoted everyone who said that csam is bad xd
