i think they misunderstood you as saying no matter how much ram they have its usage will be similar rather than, the program will operate under good conditions if ram usage is 50%
The higher you go in RAM, the more cached processes you can run at one go. But the system will always show it as 50%; it's just that, a larger fraction of it would be for cached processes.
