I use r/bindingofisaac, and there are a ton of really annoying karma-farming bots for some reason, and they always get downvoted, so I partially get why the OP also got downvoted. These bots, however, don’t type like that, so OP isn’t really a bot (well, duh). Well, guess you just shouldn’t use punctuation lol
I know nothing about the mobile game but my first thought was - is this something that's only available in the mobile version and thus people are mad because you seem happy with it when they themselves are unhappy? Or something along those lines?

As a ffxiv fan I can see why, people is tired of the ffxiv mobile exclusives, and not having it in the retail, there are a lot of hate against ffxiv mobile on ffxiv community. And you said you wanted to play it. People got upset about that statement, no mystery there.
Some people think that whoever has perfect grammar or punctuation in there comments (because you don't really need to use it anymore) they assume its a bot but I don't see anything wrong with it.

This is the reason. The mobile version is getting features that the original version wants so it's a little controversial.
Actually, maybe that's the reason. The hair, as well as the faces, aren't present in the PC version. Maybe people are salty because of that.
ffxiv mobile is also heavily looked down upon because it's such a cashgrab
