It’s searchable by category & city, will include businesses in Mongolia and abroad, and has a free listing option.

This is a really good idea. I live in England and I know there are a lot of businesses around the London area and even some in Scotland and Wales.
Feedback wise, it is a clear and easy to read layout but the font sizing does need a little editing, nothing major though. Other than that this is a brilliant start to something that could potentially be life changing for Mongol's who go aboard and for people who want to explore and experience international relations.
An example of the latter, my dad and I went to Manchester a few years ago (a long way from where we live) to a concert and as a food choice we decided on Asian (non-Chinese) food - he does not push the boat out with food experiences so this was a major win for me - he agreed to try some Mongol food so I found a restaurant; unfortunately it had closed down and had been for a while. However, the principle is that your product design would be perfect for something like that, especially as I explicitly wanted a Mongol ran restaurant. We ended up with Lebanese food instead, still Asian so still a shift for him as it was a first. He was actually excited to try some Mongol food - seriously this was a major win for him to optionally choose something different to his norm.

Funny enough, people often ask me for recommendations when they go to Mongolia, but I’ve lived in the US most of my life, so building a living, community-driven directory felt like the right solution instead.

The experiences that we have had are, and others too, are a really good force for you to move forwards; especially as you mentioned that people come to you for recommendations.
Honestly, this is a brilliant idea and it does generally have a lot of potential. Keep it going; I generally plan to go back to Mongolia so apps like this are great.
Side note, would it be worth adding in a section for local (larger) events? For example here in Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) we have Naadam festivals the main one is in London and I am fairly sure there is one around Edinburgh, Scotland but I am not sure on that. This may attract more traffic to your website / app for Mongol's and people like me who are heavily Interested in Mongol culture. Just a suggestion as I know it is already a lot of work you have ahead of you.

Yes, that’s the direction I’m thinking of taking. I built another directory like this first The Gun Show Directory, it took about three months to build it and I’m now expanding it nationwide. I’m planning to apply a similar structure here for events like Naadam, festivals, trade shows, and expos, with listings for discovery and optional featured spots for organizers who want more visibility.
