I think the answer to all of your questions is “yes”. Desperate times cultivate monsters out of any and all of us. Easy to say these folks are shitty people from the “comfort” of my US lifestyle experience. I’d like to think that I wouldn’t ever intentionally hurt anybody but it’s impossible to say without being in such a desperate position. “One man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter”. & i dont think many folks in the world consider themselves the villain of their personal story.
