Would be kinda fun to do, and probably satisfying… but those are the only reasons people do this, righty? I can go days without looking at our ceiling. Plus they’re like 9 feet up. Lol. Lotta work.
There are lots of reasons to do this. Asbestos concerns, ugly AF, harder to paint because it disintegrates, gets dust/cobwebs caught in it that are very hard to remove, etc.
We had a house with a vaulted ceiling that was popcorn, there was a staircase and balcony that was in the same room, so if you stood on the balcony you were staring at the ceiling eye level above that room.
I hate popcorn ceilings
Same. This is beautiful and cathartic.
Same goes for you ThePolitePunk
So. Many. Balloons. RUINED.
Me too
I hate you
i need a job doing this
Your shoulders won't like it very much
This probably takes away 10 years of your life because of tge very likely asbestos inside
No asbestos in 90% of it
If you test it and wet it first, you should be fine.
Good advice for any new partner
I thought more PPE would be involved. Eye glasses especially
In this economy?!
That's what safety squints are for.
I’m not even gonna ask for context
How old is the building? If it's before 1990 that could have asbestos in it..
There exist asbestos tests, and they probably came back clean since they’re doing this dry and not wet.
Homeboy doesn’t even have goggles on. He didn’t test jack squat.
They test for asbestos well before removing the popcorn ceilings. It was likely tested years in advance by a different company.
Ahhh, I love the smell of asbestos in the morning.
Why they had so much popcorn stuck on the ceiling?
Should spray it with water first to avoid the dust.
Yeah you need more protection than a mask lol. Asbestos gets everywhere.
Spray it with vinegar water + a bit of soap. Turns it to paste. Comes right off without the dust.
As a whole, vinegar is your fucking friend. Get a gallon of that shit.
It's good for washing, cleaning wood, etc
I could watch this all day
What is popcorn ceiling? My old house used to have it growing up but I never understood what it was
