I’m calling BS on this post - or at least the premise that the wife intentionally left the block in that state.
My theory… OP (or the wife) was grating the whole block of cheese, evidenced by the grater marks on the left and the pulled back wrapper. Aggressive grating motions caused the weakened tasty block structure to fracture through the middle.
This has also happened to me a number of times, especially with tasty cheese.
It's cheddar. The way it formed facets is from the cheddaring process, not from teeth. The way it broke is actually showing you that it is a decent piece of cheddar, as Kraft crap wouldn't break this way. Your wife broke of a piece of cheese, she did not bite it.
To be fair, it doesn't look like she's gnawing at it LOL. My overall impression is that rather than using a knife, which can take some strength to get through, she stuck a fork in the left side and then levered a chunk off.
Upon close inspection I see those groves are uniformly-sized and evenly-spaced, so most likely from a cheese grater. Good thing too. At first I thought they were tooth marks and I was about to go into a homicidal rage.
Trash time. That's it. I lived with a person that left butter out and her cats always got to licking it. Know what happened to the butter once I found that out? Trash time. I don't even use butter. The person I lived with figured things out really quick.
Your fault for marrying a mouse. I told you it would cause problems, but ohhhh no. "She's different! She's not like other mice."
Something about when you give a mouse a husband or something.
It's 4:44am, I'm too tired to turn that into something funnier.
Made me chuckle 😂
Chuckle cheese?
As I’m reading this it’s 4:44am where I am😭
Good morning West Coaster, hahaha.
Give a mouse a cucky 🤷♀️ idk i just woke up to lol
Lmao, I appreciate the contribution XD
Nah this still checks lol
Too be fair he first met her when he freed her from a trap.

The block also looks like this if you crumble it with a fork (due to the grater being in the dishwasher).
I, too, drew the same conclusion from similar experiences.
The Great Cheese Detective over here, thank God you're on the case
Yep, my thought too.

does she eat ass?
my husband eats ass and he does this to our cheese and butter too.
..like…multiple, random ass or yours specifically?
Ok she possibly eats ass, your husband eats ass, so the real question is do YOU eat ass…..
🫦
She broke it off instead of cutting it. What's the problem?
Are you jealous you aren't strong enough to do it?
I think people have never broken off a piece of cheddar before and think these are teeth marks?
Cheddar is *supposed* to break like this. If it doesn't, it's not really cheddar.
Is it extra mature and crumbly or has she just been gnawing on it?! Or both?
She’s a keeper
Looks like some messy grating. I received 40 lashes for doing that
So? That is how it naturally breaks...
PS. The other marks look like they come from a regular grater. People are just looking for any reason to hate. I am sad for you all.
Seems like was Grated-ful for you & the cheese 😂
Be grateful she didn't cut the cheese; that may have not smelled gouda.
I don't even blame her that cheese looks good af
Your wife is a smoker, she needs man cheddar!
If this is your worst complaint then congrats on having an awesome wife
I was all set to say sometimes cheese just fractures like that, but then I saw the teeth marks: OMG!!!
Leave her, now…
Those look like grater marks to me.
You could be right, but do you want to chance it?!

They look more like they're from a grater to me. It's still a tad messy 🙃
Philistine!
Dang..
Looks like you have a huge mouse problem, man.
Hang in there, you got this 💪🏽👍🏽
I warn guests not to eat the cheese with the teeth marks. They can bring their own cheese or they can cut some from the other end.
Wait, you share cheese? 😳
Oh man. Someone needs to write a sad country song about this. It’s right up there with my dog died and my truck broke down.
Not everyone has a block of snackin' cheese in the fridge? They should, snacking cheese is great.
one of my family members cuts pies with a spoon drives me absolutely nuts lol.
Australian spotted 🫵
My kid favorite snack!

Hell yeah you’ve got a keeper
What did she do to this poor cheese
Check on her, she’s going through it
OP’s wife is George Costanza

Reading through other comments, the marks on the left could be grater marks for sure. The rest of it looks like it broke off, regardless.
Looks like she just uses a fork to hack chunks off of it.
What's the problem?
Yes, that's correct for that type of cheese.
Not to sound overly European but I'm not sure that this is cheese...
The Wife
Thanks for letting us know.
Looks like bite haha

Gross
Did she gnaw on the block of cheese?!
Is that cheese!? Looks more like a block of butter
That’s real cheese, not some orange garbage.
That’s what real cheese looks like
LMAO
Found the American 😂
Not even close lol
Is your wife part rodent?
So it didn't just fracture like that due to grating? Those are TEETH marks!?
Good luck with the divorce.
Needs to be tried under Shari'a law for that and stoned in the sand.
idk man, that is kinda cute tbh...
Divorce.

It's divorce lawyer time... 😳
