We had wild turkeys in the neighborhood I grew up in. Much like geese, they can be relentless but you can just shove them away with your foot. Toms are a bit bigger and more aggressive, but they are still not genuinely dangerous. Just give them a swift kick and tell them to move along. The turkey above is definitely not a full grown Tom, it really does only weigh around 10lbs.
Maybe rooster spurs are sharper. As much as they tried to scratch me, they never got through my pants. I would actually laugh when they were trying to attack me. They are also shockingly stupid. I've seen them peck at their reflection on a car for an entire day, haha.
Bleed out? I dealt with them every day walking to school. Not once did they even manage to scratch through my pants. I was 50 lbs. back then, this is a fully grown man. I understand why he is scared, they are aggressive. He doesn't have to be scared though, because that little bird cannot seriously hurt him.
I mean, your example is of someone dying from a rooster. How many times do you think that's happened in the history of the earth? I dealt with wild turkeys every day walking to school. I used to be scared of them until I realized that they couldn't do any serious damage to me. They couldn't even scratch through my pants. Plus, people put razor blades on fighting roosters. Do you think people put razor blades on wild turkeys?
This video was cut short.
You ate my brother's chest motherfuck3r
*sister's. His brother just got ground up on the sexing line.
It’s a turkey, not a chicken.
Huh. Seems small .
Turkey's spurs would like a word.
Dude! Swat that bastard!
I was fully expecting the bird to hijack his car and drive it away.
Some thug that died and got reincarnated as a bird, and immediately went back to his day job.
That things got to go...

Just dress in full camo and carry a shotgun and you will never see one
Apex predator ladies and gentlemen
He's lucky the bird didn't enter the vehicle
This turkey shouldn’t be pardoned

That jive turkey!
It's a 10 lb bird. It's posturing, but it can't really hurt you haha.

When I was little I had roosters half that size get spurs stuck in your calf muscle and bleed like hell

Except that it had claws.
Most people don't really want to be in a fistfight with the cutlery draw.
Oh no, you might get scratched a little. Better run away dramatically instead of giving it a little kick and going about your business.
This guy avoided getting scratched, at least for the length of video posted.
You'd prefer to bleed but look more dignified. Good for you.

You forget about that one dude cockfighting who got killed by his own chicken. Spurs opened an artery and he bled out.
They mutilate roosters by adding razerblades to their spurs, so if that was the case its not unexpected.
That's an extremely unlikely freak accident. I've had loads of experience with turkeys, they are all show.
So my anecdotal evidence isn't legit, but yours is?
