Ever notice how some clients seem to believe their target audience thinks the same as they do? For example, a client isn’t interested in advertising opportunities aligned with the World Cup because they don’t like soccer and they can’t wrap their head around people having opinions any different than theirs? How do you all deal with this? Is this one of those, “I’m here for the income not the outcome situations?”

Yep! Been there! Some clients assume their audience is basically a clone of themselves. I usually handle it by pulling in real data or examples that show how differently people behave. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t and on those days, yeah, it becomes an “I’m here for the income” situation.
Show them data which backs up your claim?
I drop these clients.
I show successful case studies from my other clients. That helps me prove that the ad, campaign, or whatever I suggest will actually get them buyers and boost sales
Basically, real-life examples always work best when you're trying to do that
You have to build your business case. Being able to sell your marketing strategies is just as important as your strategies.
