I think these are much older than their size would suggest. You would rarely see a post oak of such a small stature and yet advanced age in Georgia. Bark is one of those things that can be quite different on very very old trees.
Some of the posties in this area reach close to 400 years old. Super gnarly trees! Only about 25-30’ tall, 20” diameter
