Yeah, you do have to consider costs. Which is one of the reasons I'm happy here. With low tax and low interest rates, cheap commuting and no need for a car the cost of living is quite low. I work in Switzerland which is the highest salary of all those countries. Easily. At all levels from the absolute bottom to the absolute top.
My U.S. colleagues get paid > $100k more than me a year for doing the same job. I'm around 250k chf / 300k usd, they are more like 400k usd.

Scandinavia or Austria is less than half the US salary for this sort of white collar job. They aren't even vaguely close.

Their healthcare coverage is strong - better than most of Europe (definitely my native UK!). Yes, not at the bottom of society obviously, but with a good job you have access to top quality of care in the U.S.

Yeah, you do have to consider costs. Which is one of the reasons I'm happy here. With low tax and low interest rates, cheap commuting and no need for a car the cost of living is quite low. I avoid thinking emotionally and getting cross about expensive groceries. A lot lower than in the Boston area, which is where my U.S. colleagues are.
I absolutely didn't claim 150k is the top of the tree in Europe, but that's an achievable salary for someone normal putting effort in. We aren't all genetic mathmo freaks who can get a job at Jane Street.
