The ending was so bad and left such an awful taste in my mouth that I can’t bring myself to rewatch it, even though I know how amazing the first 5 seasons are. And I’m sure I’m not the only one
Dan & Dave followed the books mostly only adding a few scenes here and there where they had to write their own dialogue and could work hard or it and talk to GRRM about ideas, and if he liked it. By the end it was all them and they really only asked GRRM about his outline and some ideas for scenes and with the idea they would need at least 10 seasons to end it all. They didn’t want to work on the show anymore and where in talks with Disney for another Star War movie, so they rushed the end of the show to get to Star Wars, ruining the show and damaging their careers and Disney backed out of talking to them.
I was 9 years old when the show premiered and I remember watching the very first episode on air. I aged out of it and moved on after 2-3 seasons. I have no idea why people would get uncomfortable when you bring the show up now and I hope I never learn because in my mind it’s still one of the best shows of all time lol.

Its INFURIATING how good the show was, and how far it fell.
It could've been considered one of the greatest shows of all time, now people get uncomfortable when you bring it up.

We rewatch and bail out either end of Season 4 or Season 5. Still scratches the itch of visiting the universe, but without the bad aftertaste.
